Dr. Tamara D Dickerson, MD

I adore her!!! She always gives me step by step instructions and information on my son!! She cares and you can see it!! This isn't just a career for her it's her passion and she is an amazing Dr!!!

I'm always on time for my daughter's appointments, give or take 5 minutes. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Dickerson for 2 years now and we usually have to wait at least 40 minutes to see her. Once we're in the room, the appointment is rushed. I don't think we've ever seen her more than 15 minutes at a time (I was hoping for 30). She doesn't really listen to my questions. It's as if she has too many patients. Now, that my child is finished with her shots for now, and she only has to go once a year, I may start looking for new doctor who doesn't mind spending a few extra minutes to answer my questions. Maybe this is normal for most doctors, but I hope not. Am I expecting too much?

Dr. Dickerson has been very unprofessional when it has come to treating my child. The medication she had prescribed him had caused him to vomit violently and when we went back to the office she forced a different form of the medication into my child's mouth (without my permission) so by the time we got to the car my child is dry heaving in the parking lot. (my child is 2 years old)

Dr. Dickerson, has the most wonderful bedside manner. She mad my daughter feel very relaxed for the first time and she really made her laugh and feel at home. I think its important to make a child feel that they're there to help them and not scare them or give bad news.

Dr Dickerson was unfortunately the doc on call when my son began having symptoms of C. dif. colitis, which had early been confirmed by culture but was not treated because the symptoms resolved.When I asked her to call in an RX for Flagyl, which is what my son's pediatrician told us to do, she responded that she "didn't even to know how to dose that in kids". When I told her that I am a pharmacist and the dose is 30mg/kg/day in 4 divided doses, she told me she "didn't feel comfortable."I would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone. My one and only experience with her was a complete and utter joke. You dont know the dose for kids? You're a PEDIATRICIAN!!! Look it up if you don't know!
