Very good professional. Attentive, kind and yet proactive. He will make sure that even the mild concern is addressed and that all the possibly diagnoses are eliminated. I appreciate him taking an action and looking ant ultrasound and bloodwork to verify that everything is okay. I would highly recommend this doctor due to his professionalism and his attentiveness to patients

Dr Otrok, saw me earlier for a colonoscopy. I like his frank manner willingness to listen.

I would give Dr. Otrok a higher rating but I had a negative experience. I was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis. Dr. Otrok wanted to put me on a biologic which is extremely invasive...it requires a lengthy infusion every 8 weeks via an IV FOR LIFE. I am a triathlete & otherwise very healthy. Of course something so invasive, expensive (to our healthcare system as I am lucky enough to have good insurance), and loaded with a ton of side effects (some quite serious - including death), I wanted to try and incorporate a functional/holistic HCP who looks at the whole picture to attempt to treat the cause not just the symptoms. Dr. Otrok said "I will not sit by and watch you take her poison so I can no longer see you". What what what? Um wow...her prescription alternatives are supplements and do not have anything near as scary listed as what Dr. Otrok prescribed. So there you go...he fired me because I wanted to pursue other non-pharma alternatives. He also claims food doesn't matter. Yikes!

I was a patient when Dr. Otrok practiced in West Des Moines, IA. He is wonderful and an excellent doctor. I am sorry he moved.
