I have always had the passion to help others and have gained experience in working with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. I am a firm believer that therapy should be a safe place where you can open up and speak freely and honestly. If you feel that your daily life is a struggle, I will work with you to help you understand your issues and help you discover new ways to cope.
I work with children, teens, adults, families and couples. My therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness, narrative, collaborative and client centered therapy. I have had the experience in working with the following issues: mental health-depression, anxiety, anger, mood swings; marriage, divorce, behavioral issues with children, grief and loss, PTSD, abuse/neglect, self-esteem, domestic violence, relationship and family issues, and life transitions.
I graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in …Family Studies. I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake San Antonio with a Master of Science in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy. I worked with Children Protective Services for 7 years before joining the mental health field where I have worked in the community, inpatient hospital setting, as well as outpatient programs. In my free time I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
