I saw this dr about 2.5 years ago. I actually had forgotten his name.. but since i have had little to no pain releif.. i am om line looking for a dr that can help me.. I was reminded of my experience with this dr. He listened to me cry in his office. I had Open heart surgery Nov 13 of 2015 .. I went to this dr for help and i was told to see another dr at his office After coming there for 3 different appointments seeing someone different each time. I finally sat down with Dr Elbaz and he asked what meds i had taken , if i had talked to a therapist, if i had gone back to my surgeon,, if i had scar revision/ and then he wrote POST THORACTOMY SYNDROME on a small slip of paper , suggested i research this on line. and take Gabapentin.. there was nothing else he could do. He could not help me.. and i felt no Compassion.

I had switched over to Dr. Elbaz due to a recommendation. I waited a month to get into his office. Finally when I did, I came prepared with medical history and edvice of multiple different factors that played a part in my chronic pain. On my 1st visit, I saw 3 different doctors that gave me 3 different suggestions including a nurse. I was cooperating and agreed with the treatment planned discussed in the office. They didn’t want to continue to treatment plan I was previously on but suggesting something else which I was ok with. I personally did not meet Dr. Elbaz or was I seen by him that day. The medication that was prescribed to me by his office was denied by insurance. My insurance comp. gave me an issue with approval for the medication they sent me due to a new insurance company and plan. Instead of the doctors office compassion for my medical condition, considering the high dosage of medication previously and assisting with the new treatment plan, they shut me out. The only reason… why insurance company gave me an issue is because I had just changed my plan which with any insurance company when it’s a new plan they request information that the doctors office didn’t want to provide. Instead of doing their best to avoid my body from withdrawing they basically said they did not want to help me and to figure it out. Knowing my body started to experience withdrawal due to being on pain relief for a long period cause of chronic pain, Dr. Elbaz didn’t care and had the nerve to call me an addict. An addict when I went into your office upfront on prescription medication from a doctor, with medical history, notes, MRI’s, corporates with your procedure on being a new patient and etc. Because you also have a personal issue with my previous doctor, you insult me by calling me an addict when I told you I want to be off prescription medication! But since my body has been on it for a long period we have to ween my body off of it and instead you say “oh well go to the ER”. You’re a doctor and took a oath to help patients with chronic pain and help manage that. It’s doctors like you that play a part in the epidemic we have now. I had been back and forth on the phone with this Dr’s office trying to find a solution. And finally after speaking to whom is their Pain Mgnt Dr. he told me one thing and after indirectly saying I am becoming an addict that he claims his supervisor stated (Dr. Elbaz) when he doesn’t know me, and didn’t even bother to go thru my records but due to a bad relationship they have with my last doctor; they insulted me like I was the Pain Mngt doctor managing myself. After all this I asked to speak to Dr. Elbaz on the phone, that never met me in person and insulted me. When he got on the phone he was very nasty, rude and had his mind already made up no matter what I said or any medical history said. As I questioned his reasoning for calling me something I’m far from, he denies all claims. And claimes he never said such a thing. But why would your employees lie? As we continue to speak he told me to go back to my last pain doctor that moved his office out of the city now and 2hrs away from me and figure it out and since my body is going thru withdrawal to go to the ER cause he wants no part! I am your patient, you charged my insurance company for our visit, sent prescriptions, your doctors saw me, I filled out your registration paper work, gave you all my medical history, IDs, etc ... how am I not your patient now? Hmmm ... Whatever your personal issue is with my last doctor don’t include me in that. That’s unprofessional especially how you’re handling my medical condition and wasted 4hrs of my time in your office and because I confronted you about you bad mouthing my name without reasoning ... you tell me you’re not going to help me and too bad my body is going thru withdrawal? Mind you I am on the proper medication that is appropriate for my medical condition. That’s insane and unprofessional. I’ve never in my life written a bad review but I felt this was needed because you just don’t do that to paintence that come to you for help! And when asked for my paper work and referral, your front desk NOW claims they’ve thrown it out? SMH! Very unprofessional on multiple different levels!
