Dr. Tammy Turner Mcdowell, MD

Dr McDowell has been our twins pediatrician from the moment of birth. She's always been attentive and caring to our girls. We were referred to her by two friends that were happy with her medical services. We're glad we chose her. Our girls love her.

Just go to someone else. I do not need someone telling me how to raise my kids especially when her comments conflict with Florida law, which I pointed out. All she had to do focus on the physical. Her perceived superiority is uncalled for and rude.

My son has been a patient with Dr McDowell for 17 years and I was treated so rudely when scheduling and appt today, I immediately cancelled appt and took him to emergency room to get the care he deserved without attitude. Tammy is a wonderful doctor but the staff needs help .

Besides the fact that we find Tammy McDowell to be extremely condescending, her front office staff is rude and unprofessional. Our son needed two chest x-rays and both times we were supposed to receive the results within hours of completing. This did not occur either time. We waited 2 days and then called in. The office staff seemed annoyed both times and also did not provide any explanation of the results other than abnormal and normal. When I asked them to clarify the "abnormal" result, they said they didn't know. My husband asked to speak with Dr. McDowell and she was also annoyed that she had to step away and speak to us. She also did not have an explanation other than that we needed to complete the X-ray again. Then after the second one, SAME SITUATION. I asked the front desk if anyone was planning on calling us and she said, "yea, probably today". I told her that this was unacceptable and hung up. This whole chest situation happened because my son was sick and Dr. McDowell… neglected to do anything about it the initial time we brought him in. Then it got worse and went into his chest. Patients just aren't a priority at this place and I will drive further to take my kids to a better doctor.

Horrible bedside manner. I am disgusted by the way she conducted herself. Very disappointed in her medical advising. She did not explain anything in detail, even when asked. Perhaps she should be more courteous and professional. We will not be back.

I took my son to her bc Dr Marcus is on vacation. Sadly she was rude and short. Didn't introduce herself. She shined a light down my sons throat and said he has a cold. Like seriously.....I'm a nurse i could have shined a light in his throat!!!! So glad I left work, drive 40 min. And paid a co-pay for her rudeness. She was also in a rush. We were the only people there.

It took 8 visits within 6 months and could never figure it out..child was sick sake time every year....horrible for my poor child...finally got pcp changed and in one visit we were diagnosed with asthma. My child was so much better after no longer having her. She was always short and unfriendly too. The waits were ridiculous for an empty office.

I was a patient myself for 17 years and now my son in a patient of Dr. McDowells as well. I drive about 30 minutes just to see her, while there are plenty of pediatricians that are closer. I have the upmost faith in her. She is excellent in explaing and is always thorough. She enjoys spending time with her patients and getting to know them. I highly recomend her. Her nurse/medical assistant is great as well. She's been there the whole time my son has been a patient which is 3 years. It's nice to see familiar faces in the staff everytime. I havnt noticed a turn over in the staff.

Prompt, helpful, and always accurately diagnoses my problem.
