Dr. Tammy Perison

This review is written on behalf of my mother. Dr. Perison, and I use the term "doctor" VERY loosely, performs subpar work. Every dental procedure she performed on my mother, including bridgework, cerec crown and fillings, ALL needed to be redone by her current dentist. The bridge was not even a year old. When my mother kindly asked for a refund, even partial, Dr. Perison and her staff refused, treated my mother very rudely and blamed her poor dental care for their inferior workmanship. My mother's current dentist, who is one of the top 25 docs in our current area, stated her dental hygiene is impeccable, specifically for her age, and stated she had never seen such mediocre dental work in her 20 year career. I would suggest avoiding Tammy Perison, DDS unless you want to pay for dental work twice when you have to get it all redone/fixed! We, as patients, need to trust our dentists to perform optimal work and my mother would have never known how poor Dr. Perison's dental work was… had she not visited a more competent doctor.

Stay away! Super expensive and purposely went out of insurance network for a simple molar extraction. I went to my dentist in network(Cigna) to have same molar extracted and my wife went to Dr Perison. I paid $26, Cigna paid $78. My wife paid $570 and Cigna paid over $1000! She purposely performed out of network xrays, bone grafts and gum tissue regen for an unneccessary rear molar. She wanted over $6000 more to replace it with a post etc, etc. My dentist said tooth replacement was unneccesary. We fired her. Cigna and any other insurance carriers need to dump her!

I have been going to Dr Perison's office for years. She and her staff have always been very kind and personable. Dr Perison takes the time to discuss your care and all the options understanding that financially not everyone can afford certain procedures. She is caring and sweet and very talented. Her staff is the same from Katie at the front desk to Barb who is very gentle but still very thorough when cleaning your teeth. And how can I forget Buddy her therapy dog. He is the sweetest and cutest and helps to put me at ease while snuggling me during my visit. I would highly recommend Dr Tammy Perison

I was 100% satisfied with my visit. Dr. Perison picked up on things my previous dentist did not. I can't say enough great things about this practice!

Excellent dentist and team. Over the last 9 years I have been very happy with overall treatment for my family. Dr. Perison has all of the latest technology to help make it comfortable easier to visit. I can trust her to provide me with different solutions and ensure the best dental care. I can tell they really care and do not just view me as a number by the time they spend with me to make educated decisions that are best for me. Thank you.

Terrible experience. Was there twice - was not told ahead of time they didn't accept my insurance (even though I sent the information to them days before.) - did not request or know that they considered the first appointment an emergency (which costs extra) - dentist did nothing but exam and xrays first appointment - saw hygienist 2nd appointment who told me I needed my teeth cleaned but did not clean them - saw dentist again who did the same exam again and told me I needed tons of work done (knew that already from the first apt) - had to book more appointments - and so far NOTHING had been done!! not a cleaning, not a cavity filled, NOTHING except hefty charges. Her office is in her basement - down stairs that hurt my bad knees (didn't see the handicap entrance until end of 2nd appointment) - exam rooms are cramped and in a basement maze. The assistant was sweet but apparently inexperienced because the dr had to repeat her directions several times. I've paid her $110 so far -… but will likely get more bills in the mail because they were skeptical my insurance would cover it, seeing as how they didn't accept that insurance. I wrote Dr Perison a polite note expressing my concerns that I had already missed work (which, in my case, unfortunately jeopardizes my job), I felt her charges and quotes were too high, could not understand how they could have had me in the chair twice already and done nothing other than tell me what needed to be done. I wanted reassurance. I got a - "I'm sorry you feel that way." note. I seemed to be "had" - how could I just flush that money and regain the time lost and start over at a new dentist? But, I could not bring myself to trust her to charge me fairly or to consider my need for as few visits as possible to cause me the least stress at work (not having to ask for too much more time off - they have fewer office hours than any practice I've ever seen) Most importantly, her lack of concern about MY concerns made me afraid to let her anywhere NEAR my mouth with a drill. I have now found a different dentist and will be starting over. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go to Dr Perison.
