Dr. Tamra Lynn Richardson-Colby, DO

Dr Tamra Richardson Colby was my doctor for many years. I absolutely loved her being my doctor & actually loved talking to her! She was very down-to-earth & truly tried to diagnose any issues I had. I think she had so many patients who loved her & didn’t want to change that it finally became hard to get in to see her. I ended up changing to Dr Sinklier & have been so happy with my decision! However, I am saddened that the issue of so many patients wasn’t resolved in a way to benefit her & her caseload. Love to you, doc!

Terrible doctor. Talks about her patient's poorly to other people in the clinic and to other doctors. Does not know how to treat difficult health conditions.

Dr. Richardson is an amazing doctor who takes the time to listen and gives a proper diagnosis. She has looked further into a couple issues I have had where other doctors just dismissed them. All resulting in great treatment. She has now moved to Ankeny, where I am more than happy to follow her to. I will never want/need another doctor.

Dr. Richardson has the best bedside manner. She remembers you and your family. She take the time to ask questions and listen to you. I am so glad we found her.

This doctor knows what she's doing. Very thorough, and very patient, very patient. Best bedside manners ever!

Dr Richardson is my daughters' pcp doctor. They dont see ANY other dr except in emergency situations. When my three year old was about one she got sick and we had her into her pcp (at that time), the er and urgent care once every two weeks and everybody just kept telling us it was just a virus and it will go away on its own. Well it was finally time for her 18 month check up and i called the office of her pcp to set up and appt. that dr didnt go in until 9am and i was wanting and earlier appt so i decided to go with one of the other drs in the office and it happened to be Dr Richardson and, finally, someone who didn't blame everything on a virus. She ordered a chest xray for her and we found out that she had pneumonia. once that cleared up she was still having some problems and Dr Richardson also diagnosed her with asthma. She had to use a nebulizer 3-4 times a day and now that we finally found a dr who cared enough to do something my daughter hardly ever has asthma attacks anymore.… she went form constantly wheezing and coughing to wheezing and coughing only when she gets a cold. Dr Richardson is the best! Plus she is so great with both of my daughters. My three year old is very active and whenever the baby goes in for her check ups the three year old always wants attention too and she always looks in her ears and mouth also just to make her happy! We live on the East side so when she was in Altoona she was real close to us, but now that she has moved to an Urbandale clinic it is all the way across town, but that doesn't matter to us, we still take our girls to see her and always will as long as she is in the metro area!
