Dr. Tana S Setness Hoefs, MD

I never write reviews but my experience with Setness-Hoefs (who was referred to me by more than one friend) was beyond disappointing. Twice towards the end of my pregnancy she kept me waiting in an exam room, hugely pregnant, up on the exam table for 40+ minutes. I completely understand that medical providers are busy people and all I needed in those 2 experiences was for her to acknowledge my wait time when she came in... which she never did. The last time I was literally weeping when she came in and she just said "Oh, you are miserable aren't you" when in reality it had very little to do with my physical state and so much more to do with my experiences with her. She just never really seemed to have "time" for me. I am now 1 week postpartum and concerned about possible infection. I called into the clinic to try be seen before the weekend and spoke to her nurse (who was very kind and helpful) who told me she would speak to Setness-Hoefs and get back to me. Two hours passed and it was… almost 5:00 (on a Friday) so I called back in and was told if I spiked a fever over the weekend to go in to the ER. I would have really appreciated being seen by anyone before the weekend. So beyond disappointed in her care. She did not seem to care about me or my pregnancy. And bedside manner? Zero.

Dr Setness Hoefs is an incredible physician. She is extremely dedicated to her patients and goes above and beyond to ensure exceptional care.
