Dr. Tania Mimi Acevedo, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Acevedo's for over 10 years now and she is the BEST Primary Care doctor i have ever had. Dr. Acevedo has always taken time to listen to everything i have concerns about and she doesn't rush me through my appt. Dr. Acevedo has always referred me to great specialists when it was needed, she takes my concerns seriously and doesn't make you feel like you are over reacting about a health problem, she takes my health as seriously as I do. I feel like she approaches her patients as " we are a team now, together we will do everything we can to get your health where i needs to be". I know she is an active listener, over the ten years I've been with her she remembers little things that are important to me like things going on in my family, vacations I took, school or work, things that are as important to me as my health. I have never felt rushed, uncomfortable or made to feel like I was a bother to anybody in her office. Iam truly happy with my care and relationship… I have with Dr. Acevedo and her team of professionals. From Theresa in the front office who is irreplaceable and brilliant in her multiple roles at the practice. I've been coming to this practice for over 20 years when other doctors were there and I can say that the doctor i have in Tania Acevedo is so much more than the previous doctor I had there. So I've been with Dr. Acevedo since her first day at this office and I have complete confidence that my health is in experienced, compassionate and professional hands. I need to shout out to her nurse as well, she is great and always calls me with results quickly after tests and is so very sweet with a welcoming smile every time I have an appt. Together- the doctor, nurses and front office staff its a great place. Thank You to all of Davie Internal Medicine and of course to Dr. Acevedo

Shocking experience. She came into the exam room and was immediately hostile. I have been a patient of this practice for 35 years, but will be changing physicians immediately. I left the office in tears. She had zero understanding of a condition I have suffered with for ten years telling me she was not going to prescribe my medication any longer. I had worked with Dr. Carla Pence to get the correct medication to keep my symptoms manageable. I tried to discuss this with her, but she was completely uninterested. I have never been treated so unprofessionally and will not be seeing her again. I would not recommend her under any circumstances to anyone.

My body has some serious medical issues. Dr Acevado has went above and beyond what I would think a doctor would do. Besides all the medical treatment, she gives me the pep talk and the truth of what is happening to my body! Iam over 60 and have seen many doctors over the years ( moved every few years to different areas) and she is my favorite! Very knowledgeable, compassionate and personable....... you wont go wrong choosing her!
