Dr. McKenna grew up in Madison. He left to attend college and dental school at the University of Minnesota. After graduating in the top 10% of his dental school class in 2001, Dr. McKenna began his professional career serving on active duty with the United States Navy Dental Corps.Â
After completing a General Practice Residency in Dentistry, he served as the Dental Department Head onboard the USS RAINIER (AOE-7). While onboard the ship he treated Sailors and Marines all over the world. He returned to shore duty in Washington State, where he was awarded the 2004 U.S. Naval Dental Center Northwest Award for Clinical Excellence.
True to his roots, Dr. McKenna decided to come home after his naval service. He is a compassionate individual and is excited to serve his hometown's oral health! As a dedicated professional, Dr. McKenna completes an average of 100 continuing education credits per year. He is an alumni of the prestigous Pankey Institute for …Advanced Dental Studies.
