Dr. Tanvi Kohli uses a biopsychosocial approach, providing psychoeducation and supportive therapy. Dr. Kohli considers the physician-patient relationship a team effort and collaborates with patients. Dr. Kohli is committed to providing quality care that is evidence-based and centered around her patients. She aims to provide treatment that allows her patients to live a happier, well-functioning life. During her psychiatry rotation in medical school, Dr. Kohli enjoyed listening to patients and asking them questions to further understand and analyze their situations. The importance of a healthy mind drew her to psychiatry: how the mind controls everything: one's body, emotions, and, most importantly, one's ability to function. This taught Dr. Kohli the importance and necessity of psychiatric care, especially since mental health is often neglected.
