Dr. Tanvi S. Sharma, MD

Dr. Tanvi S. Sharma, MD, MPH, is Clinical Director and Associate Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she also serves as Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program and Director of Infectious Diseases for the Pediatric Transplant Center. An assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, she specializes in pediatric infectious diseases with particular expertise in infections affecting immunocompromised children, including transplant recipients, patients with primary immunodeficiencies, and children with HIV. Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed her pediatrics residency and fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases and immunology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. She later earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
