Tanya Bowsher, CNP, provides cancer care in Bourbonnais for adults receiving oncology services. She focuses on patient-centered support, whole-person care and helping patients navigate cancer treatment.Nursing runs through my family, and I am a fourth generation nurse. I practiced as a nurse practitioner for nearly 10 years, then moved into oncology because cancer care felt like the right long-term home for me. I describe my care as patient centered and whole person: "I'm looking at the whole picture." That means paying attention to the reason for the visit while also thinking about the needs, concerns and support around each patient. I value one-on-one conversations because people should feel seen, heard and supported through the journey. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, and my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis.
