Dr. Laidlaw was the first doctor I met who has even heard of samter's triad (a rare type of asthma when I am allergic to aspirin too), and really spent a long time with me and my wife. She was very helpful and knew exactly what to do.

Dr. Laidlaw is trained in2 things... the weird samter's Triad / AERD diagnosis where e ven though I am terribly allergic to it, the best tx for it is desensutuzation to aspirin and then I take daily aspirin as a therpy for me polyps to shrink back. Sounds crazy, but totally know what she is talking about and I entirely trust her. She is also a pediatric allergist and I took my toddler who had a cough for 3 wks and gave lots of great advice

I went to see Dr Laidlaw for aspirin desensitization do to the fact that I have Sampters Triad. I am quite a worrier when it comes to medical things and she put me at ease immediately. She is an excellent listener with a unique understanding of Sampters. She is one of those rare individuals who are able to combine the qualities of intelligence, mastery of her field, and calming bedside manner without a trace of arrogance.

I have Samter's Triad also called AERD or aspirin sensitive asthma and pretty much every doctor I have ever met had no idea what I was talking about or what to do about the disease, except for Dr. Laidlaw. She spent over an hour with me at my first appointment and understood all of my symptoms and I am going to try to do the aspirin desensitization I had only read about before.

I was very impressed with the ease of knowlege on the subject. I was also impressed with the fact i did not feel rushed at all. Her explanations were very thorough and easy to understand, as i was very confused when i went there. I felt like there was a light at the end of my tunnel. I am looking forward to a long but not frequent relationship ( i hope) with her. I feel very strongly that she will help me whith my problem. Thanks Dr. Laidlaw.
