Dr. Tara L Kaufmann, MD

Dr. Kaufmann is an excellent dermatologist. Kind, straightforward, thorough. She took great care of me when I lived on Long Island. Highly recommend.

She is very thorough and sweet. She looks at everything very closely and monitors my history. I recommend her to my family and friends.

Dr Kaufman is not only an amazing and skilled Dr but a Dr who spends time with you. Dr Kaufman is my favorite dr. I come all the way from California just to see her for any work or exams. Her staff is super!!!!

I have seen Dr. Kaufmann several times in the past. Now the office in East Setauket has moved to a new suite which is much nicer than the old office. The office staff was friendly. I brought in a list of questions and the doctor sat down and reveiwed all of the questions one by one with me.

I had a complex problem and was seen by several other dermatologists before I went to Dr Kaufmann. She was able to diagnosis and treat my problem correctly. I would strongly recommend her to others.

Others I know have gone to see Dr. Kaufmann and have loved her. I, however, did not have a similar experience. I found her to be cold and insensitive. The feeling I got from her was that I was wasting her time. She saw me for a total of literally 4 minutes before telling me I was fine but could see a plastic surgeon if I wanted to. I felt rushed and I did not have time to ask many of the questions I had. I waited 2 months for this appointment, and I was rushed out without having most of my concerns addressed. I would not recommend Dr. Kaufmann for anyone who is looking for a dermatologist with even the slightest interest in patient care.
