Dr. Tara Herwitz Roffe

If you need a root canal, Dr. Roffe is the best! She is extremely caring and friendly and makes getting a root canal not so bad. She is also available by phone for pain management after the root canal and she even calls to follow up! So sweet of her! Definitely not done by other dentists in the area.

It's hard to say that going to the dentist was "great" However as we age,we need more medical care so going to the dentist is part of it. For many years now I have the same great dentist taking care of me. Last month thou,after so many holiday treats I ended up with a broken filling on a back molar. My dentist had to send me to a specialist for root canals.(thank GOD he didn't try to do it himself and ruin my tooth) So here I am,looking for an endodontist ! My insurance gave me some names but really its scary not knowing how's going through treat you. I "Google " the names and when I got to dr.Roff the reviews were good but mixed. I choose to go to the Arlington Heights location due to convenience. I read that root canals nowadays are done with advanced technology,microscopes and specials drills,not by hand like in the old days. So, when I called to make the consultation appointment I was told she doesn't have a microscope but she has very powerful loops Ok I said to myself,… let's give it a try, sometimes face to face you get a better idea of what you are up to. At the appointment time I was pleasantly surprised meeting her. She was soft spoken,very delicate and extremely patient. Since this would've been my first root canal you have to imagine that I had many,many questions. She calmly sat me down and explained to me why I need the treatment, what can happen if I don't and what to expect long term after I do the root canal. She walked me out at the front desk and instructed the receptionist to give me an appointment The receptionist told her that her next patient had to cancel so she asked if I could stay and start my treatment. I agreed and go t in the chair. At the end of almost 2 hours she told me my root canal was completed and I should return to my dentist for the crown. She gave me an instruction sheet,her personal cell phone number (!!! Great) and told me to come back in 4-5 months for a follow up. I ended up calling my dentist the next day and scheduled the crown fitting appointment 2 weeks later. I expected to have lots of pain afterwards but the truth is was more like a sore for a day or so. Looking back at the whole experience I have to tell everyone that to have a root canal is not so bad as long as you have dr Tara Roffe do it for you! The office can use some TLC,stuck in the '90 but is very clean and nicely organized. The front desk and the insurance personal are kind and very good at what they do. I ended paying EXACTLY what my insurance company said I should. Again, if you need a good Endodontist please trust dr.Roffe. She is an excellent doctor and a very kind and caring human being. Extremely delicate despite the many gadgets she has to handle, concerned at all times for you to feel as comfortable as you can. So you,if you want a good and honest Doctor to treat you,go to her,you'll not be disappointed!

I highly recommend Dr Roffe. I had several root canals done by different dentists and she is by far the best endodontist I had. I felt she was always thorough, gentle and concerned for my comfort for each root canal she performed on me. She was always able to relieve the toothache pain I had and made each visit a positive experience. For that, I am grateful to have Dr Roffe as my endodontist.

Dr. Roffe completed a root canal for me. She was very caring and when I returned to my dentist he said that it looked great. I am very happy with the outcome and overall experience.
