Dr. Tara Ann Scaglione

I saw Tara Scaglione in late June and absolutely loved her at my first visit. She was actually my clinical instructor in nursing school, and during my appointment she made me feel truly seen, heard, and cared for. She sent me for an ultrasound (done July 22) because of a fibroid and recommended I consider surgery. I appreciated her attentiveness and felt confident moving forward. However, after the ultrasound I received the results before I ever heard from her. I sent messages through the portal and called her office multiple times over the next several weeks. At first, I was told she was on vacation and that my message would be passed along. But weeks went by with no response. She eventually left me a voicemail saying she would call me back after another trip, but I never received a follow-up call. As of now, it’s been over a month since my ultrasound, and despite several messages and calls, I still have no guidance on what to do next. This has been very disappointing because I truly… liked her when I met her. I don’t expect immediate answers, but at the very least I hoped for some communication—even if it meant a nurse or another provider stepping in to give me next steps or a referral. Fibroid surgery is new to me, and I feel like I’ve been left completely in the dark. Tara made me feel cared for at my appointment, but the lack of follow-up has left me discouraged and unsure where to turn next.

I went into see Tara and it was winter and I had a cold. She was angry that I was sick and told me I shouldn't have came in if I was sick because she didn't want to get sick. Then when she did my Pap smear, she did it so aggressively that I winced and felt pain, and accidentally closed my legs a little bit. She yelled and said "ugh don't do that." When I got home I was bleeding from the pap smear. It wasn't period because I had just finished my period 2 weeks ago and it only bled that day. She is the worst obgyn ive ever been to.
