Dr. Tara Talwar, MD

I've been going to Dr. Talwar for about 8 years and dread every time I go. Quite frankly, she's mean. I never feel like I get any relief from her and all she does is yell at me and shove pieces of paper at me with what to eat. I've been going to my regular doctor instead but now will be going somewhere else upon her recommendation.

Terrible bedside manner which borders on rude. She makes you feel uncomfortable like you're in the Principal's office being reprimanded. I don't feel she listens to what you tell her and just pushes pills and tells you to eat better. Have been suffering with the same condition for two years and no relief. Now, after an attack of over a week of not being able to eat, bloated, and pain, I was told to push liquids and call if I feel worse. How much worse can I feel? Done with her and moving on to a Doctor that CARES and LISTENS.

Dr. Tara Talwar recently saw my husband for a consultation at Missouri Baptist Hospital. When she entered the room she had her purse on her shoulder, no white jacket and a name tag hidden under her bag. My husband was not entirely sure if she was the doctor when she entered, began her history and physical. Her consult lasted about 5-8 minutes total to ask a complete history, perform a physical exam, give a diagnosis and plan. I am a physician assistant at the hospital where the consult was performed and I did not have an understanding of the plan because she rushed so much. We were very disappointed with our interaction and consultation. Dr. Talwar, please remember to put yourself in the shoes of your patients. Remember that your patient is sick and they don't have the energy to advocate for themselves. Your patient should be focusing more on how to get better, not on how you poorly interacted with them. My hope is that you would show your future patients respect, care, concern… and your love for the field of medicine you are in. Your skill and knowledge is very important in medicine, but your actions are very powerful and meaningful to the people you are treating, please remember that.

I just had my personal first colonoscopy with Dr Talwar at St Anthony's Endoscopy Center. The Dr was very prompt and professional. After having to deliver the diagnosis that neither my husband or I expected I was told she would let me know the final results. Since then I've had many inquiries which she and her staff have taken the time to answer professionally and compassionately. She even called me personally! I would recommend Dr Talwar to ALL but she has shown that she truly understands a woman's needs to me.

Every year I go on vacation Dr Talwar used to re-new my travel antibiotic over the phone so I dont get sick while out of the country. I used to go once a year HOWEVER this year I just tried to fill my perscription before leaving the country and NOW SHE NEEDS TO SEE ME TWICE A YEAR TO GET THAT MONEY BEFORE RENEWING MY SCRIPT that is not the bad point it is that she expects me to get docked 3 hours of pay because she cannot give me a 3:30 apt after I get off work and they can not get me in till June. I was willing to make the apt to get the script but that dosent work for them either. It is for 12 pills and I have NEVER CANCELLED an apt before. The girls and doctor in the office are RUDE and inconsiderate to patients needs. Without paitents they will go out of business. I have NEVER had problems before this but I dont even want to go back and see these RUDE people. This could ruin my whole vacation if I get UC diarrhea. WORST patient relations EVER I can not understand why they cannot… work with a once loyal customer. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR BEFORE GOING HERE.....I called for my records and now they say I have to pay to get them but they dont know what the cost is GO FIGURE

I would give Dr. Talwar a very high rating. She is very kind and caring.She has a courteous staff.I was with her eleven years ago and also in 2011.

I have been a patient of Dr. Talwar for approximaely the last 8 years. She has been the most thorough physician I have ever had in my treatment of chrones and colitus. She has never failied to quickly respond to any of my messages left with her staff. Her bedside manner has always been kind and professional. I feel very cared for by her and would recommend her to anyone.
