I’ve been seeing Taran for the past six years, and he’s my go-to for any orthopedic injuries. He is one of the best manual therapists and acupuncturists I’ve worked with. As a martial arts instructor and bodyworker, it’s essential that I keep my body in top condition. When I’m able to see him early, he often shortens recovery time significantly with acute injuries. He has also helped me improve, and in some cases fully resolve, several chronic issues.He takes the time to explain what he’s seeing and gives me practical strategies to support my own recovery. He sincerely wants his patients to get better as soon as possible. I also know that he is always studying new treatments and modalities in order to improve his efficacy.

Taran is a practitioner of uncommon skill. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He has helped me tremendously over an almost 20-year relationship, most recently with a debilitating hip injury that prevented me from moving almost at all. Taran, employing multiple modalities with gentleness, was able to help me over the course of several weeks to regain full mobility. Taran brings a wealth of knowledge of body, mind, and spirit to his practice and embodies integrity, compassion, and respect for his patients.

It’s quite simple: I go to Taran in pain, and I leave him feeling better. He understands that the body is not a collection of disconnected systems but one whole, and he treats it accordingly. I’ve been seeing him for a long time, and still, I’m continually amazed at how he finds the places where my pain and illness can be healed, almost like magic. But I know there is deep skill an and wisdom behind that seeming magic. He has treated me for musculoskeletal pain, digestive issues, migraines, connective tissue disorder, and mental health, and I am an entirely healthier, happier person for his care.

I consider Taran my structural guru. I was once married to a chiropractor and, as a chiropractic consultant, experienced many, many different modalities for a resilient, aligned and robust structure. But Taran’s resourceful blend of tui-na, cranio-sacral, fascial and visceral work – as well as his ability to pinpoint the one exercise needed for me to most effectively address an issue – has done the most to keep me structurally sound in the midst of many challenges. And his acupuncture skills has kept my systems optimized even in the face of intense chemo and immunotherapy. I couldn’t function so well without his help!

Taran is great and very knowledgeable. He has helped me with an assortment of ailments including Meniere's, sinus infection and a chronic hip/knee pain issue. He really has a wide understanding of many things and how all things connect. And the physical body work that he does works wonders. I always walk out much straighter than I walked in!

I have seen Taran off and on over several years for help with a variety of different issues – hip soreness, ear pain, lower back stiffness, tennis elbow, etc. He is an excellent listener and as a result, an excellent practitioner. Taran draws from his deep knowledge of classical Chinese medicine and healing techniques to tailor his treatments to my needs. I don’t necessarily understand what he is doing, but I don’t have to. I just know that I always feel better after a session with him. Recently I’ve started treating myself to regular tuneups. No reason to wait until something feels out of whack when I can rely on Taran to keep my 70 year old body running smoothly. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Taran and I met some years ago, whe he was working at Duke in Durham, NC. I have a severe chronic spinal issue and Taran has been the remedy without drugs or surgery.
