Dr. Tarif Bakdash, MD

Dr. Bakdash is amazing. He is super sweet and explains everything you need. My son was in the hospital with a EEG for 5 days and we still couldn't figure out what's wrong. So he had a MRI done, and found out he has Chiari malformation, when I called his office the nurse told me this over the phone, granted she was really sweet but this is something you call a patient in and sit them down to talk to the about it. My son is 3 years old and they referred us to a neurosurgeon who's reviews were horrible. Now I'm trying to get all his medical records and my husband has gone to the office and they made him fill out the release forms and they said they'd call him when they got them all. It's been over a week.. so we went this morning and they told us we have to go to a whole other building because they dont deal with the medical records. Still trying to get them so I can take my son to a neurosurgeon who specializes in chiari. Like I said though. Dr. Bakdash is a great man and great… doctor.

He was my son's neurologist for over 2 years. He had all of my son's conditions diagnosed so that he could receive the correct treatment. He has left Springfield Missouri and I'm now very unhappy with the neurologist that the hospital stuck us with. I could ask Dr Bakdash 20 different things to address and he would address them all. Now I have a neurologist who will only deal with one issue per appointment and see my son every 6 -12 months. I really miss Dr. Bakdash and his thoroughness and willingness to help above and beyond. We have been able to get services thru Dr. Bakdash that we have not been able to get before. He is very attentive of our child and the parents stress level and needs.

I am very disappointed with Dr. Backdash and his staff. They have poor communication skills. My son has been seeing him for 9 months and been on medicine that I have told them does not work for him, they continued up-ing his dose, now he is being over medicated on this medicine. I have friend who go to him also and have had the same problem with communication.
