I have always had pain, I always thought everyone would think i just wanted narcotics but I really just waned to the pain to stop. So, because I move to North Carolina I had to Do things all over again for insurance, chiropractor, ortho, pt, aquatic therapy, injections, massage, all of it I was taking 5, 10 mg hydrocodone a day, I was taken off of it and given Tramadol (pretty much like alive to me). I was taking all 30 Tramadol in 2 weeks with 6 Aleve a day. Finally, I asked for pain management. I could barely work, I was in pain everyday but hid it. I cried in the bathroom. ....IT WAS BAD UNTIL..... I was referred to Dr. Garvin when the Spine Ortho treatments quit working. On my first visit she asked me to walk for her (which is normal). I told her about the shots and the tramadol and the aleve. she right then gave me the original 10 mg hydrocodone as long as I did what she needed She asked if I had X-Rays but all I had was the one I snapped on my phone from the chiropractor… insurance made me see. That day I went for X-rays to find out what was going on and causing this pain and that it wasn't in my head the next day he office called me and said, "we need an MRI ASAP got to, blah blah.." it was 3 months of her office asking for the MRI so we tried injections. The injection made me feel worse. I waited until my next appointment to tell her, and yes she did use a very stern voice with me. She said, " Something is wrong, BAD, we need those MRI's" she left the room and called the Hospital and with in 5 minutes she had the MRI results. Dr. Garvin walked in shaking her head, "GIRL HOW ARE YOU WALKING RIGHT NOW?" I was scared and said, "what?" She said, "You have a blown disk and spondylolisthesis." She urgently sent me to Dr. Bell. I just had surgery and am doing great!!!! If it was not for Dr. Garvin the 10 years of pain would still be happening. She was the only one to actually tell me I am not pain seeking, SHE MADE ME WHOLE AGAIN. I would recommend her to anyone. I am sorry this was so long but, THANK YOU DR. GARVIN FOR GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK.

Dr Garvin has decades experience and can provide best overall plan for her patients. Staff is always cordial and professional. I would recommend to everyone seeking help with chronic pain.

It has been a good while someone took the time to take care of my condition. If you want thorough visit go to Dr. Garvin. I was impressed and that has not happened in a long time.

I have never been under a Doctors care who was so easy to talk to and took time to explain what is happening to me as Dr. Garvin does.

I absolutely love Dr. Garvin and her staff. She takes the time to listen to you and explains things so you can understand medical lingo. I would highly recommend her.

She listens and helped me. Had injections and finally relief. She does not rush you.

She treated me fine in the beginning but I have other health issues and I went to her office in full blown renal failure unbeknownst to me and when I could not produce a urine specimen for a drug test they allowed me to leave then sent me a letter saying I was discharged from her clinic because "I failed the urine screen". I was admitted to the hospital later that day in renal failure and stayed ten days. I came home to find the letter of discharge. She did not detox me from the oxycodone she prescribed me and her phone is set up so no one will answer if they recognize your phone number. You can NEVER speak to her on the phone. She threw me under a bus. DO NOT go to her.

First time doctor spent time to figure me out- she listened to me and others ignored me.

This lady has great staff and they are respectful but, she will fool you when she first meets you she talks about God, and faith and how she will stand by you... But then she gets angry at you when you try to tell her that the meds are not working and it is causing you to be short, sh ethen accuses you of selling your meds, and telling you that and I qoute, "She doesn't care"... I have never met anyone like her then she acts like your are beneath her and that is not anyway for a doctor to act!
