Dr. Tarun Madappa, MD

Unorganized, Was told by staff, that he would be calling me about results of pet scan. Never called. Waited very anxious for results.

Dr. Madappa can be very arrogant and irritating if he thinks you are trying to get him to do it your way. Otherwise he is extremely knowledgeable and flexible. Was very impressed with him- he listens and I think he really cares, too!

Dr. Madappa has been one of the best Doctors that I have ever had the priveledge of being a patient. He takes all the time I need to explain meds, options and any types of trials that may be coming up. I have Asthma, COPD, and am at the top of all meds available. He explains each and every step to me. Never rushes me in anyway. His staff of nurses are the friendliest and go way beyond what nurses do for patience. Follow up by telephone is a no brainer for him and his staff. My intire family now goes to him. I am 65 years old with Asthma all my life, and he has been the best at telling me options, holding nothing back, but explaining and careing as he goes. He genuinly cares about his patients. I only wished he was more available as he also works in ICU at the hospital and at times is not available. However, if you call his nurses with questions, they get right back to you ASAP. I would recommend Dr. Madappa to any and all patients that have pulmonary problems.

he is arrogant and rude. He unplugged respirator on a critical care patient to see if the patient could breathe on his own yet. Does things expressly against the families wishes.
