Dr. Tasha Katherine Taylor, MD

Our 3 year old toddler was diagnosed with ASD by Dr. Taylor. We had a terrible experience with another doctor who was curt and was visibly frustrated with our then 2 year old during her developmental assessment. The last experience we had with a developmental assessment with another physician (not Dr. Taylor) was somewhat traumatic and very jarring. We found Dr. Taylor through an email referral from another provider who was not available anytime soon. Dr. Taylor was incredibly thorough, supportive, insightful, and provided a detailed, nuanced, and layered assessment that really captured our little one's strengths and challenges. It is always difficult for parents to get a diagnosis of ASD-it is stressful and incredibly overwhelming to navigate services and what the diagnosis means. We have no personal reference about what autism is other than what we've heard from hearsay from largely uninformed persons (like we were until we proactively and eagerly found more information to… distill the labyrinth maze of understanding ASD diagnosis & services)- Dr. Taylor's attention to detail, her sensitivity, warmth, and ongoing email support afterwards was a bright spot to a very difficult time. Not only were we wrestling with the unknowns and scares of trying to figure out how best to provide support to our child-but we were dealing with significant stressors beyond the diagnosis and challenges that our toddler was facing. We experienced a series of losses and traumas that we did not foresee-beyond the stress of our toddler's behavioral and sensory-related struggles- and Dr. Taylor responded with incredible thoughtfulness, care, and sensitivity. I cannot recommend her more highly-she's a skilled physician, an adept clinician, and has a wonderful, reassuring bedside manner. Her credentials and experience are impressive-and beyond her incredible knowledge/expertise about various developmental disorders- She is incredibly empathetic, caring, supportive, and just wonderful with our precious little one. The other doctor could not "click" with our child-and he literally got frustrated with her when she was only 2 years old- But Dr. Taylor was endlessly patient, understanding, and has a beautiful, natural way and ease with little children. Go to her! She's amazing! And her staff assistant, Ruth, is responsive, supportive, and very professional.

dr. Taylor saw both of my children and they both were comfortable with her. She was very professional. I would recommend her to anyone.
