Tatiana Burkholder, DNP, AGACNP

Tatiana developed an interest in neurocritical care while working in an intensive care unit as a student.She is passionate about helping patients and their families through one of the most intense times of their lives while fine-tuning their care.By age 11, Tatiana and her family had lived in three different countries where she learned to speak English, German and Russian. She credits these experiences with shaping her ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and support those who may feel unfamiliar with the health care system. She has experience working with minority and immigrant populations and emphasizes clear communication and culturally responsive care.Tatiana has been volunteering at a small summer camp in Michigan since she was in high school. She now runs a camp for young adults and volunteers at their youth camps. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, playing board games and traveling to visit friends and family abroad.The most important focus for …me is looking at the patient holistically. The more I get to know my patients, their support network, and all aspects that contribute to their health, the better I can collaborate with them to find solutions that meet their specific needs. For me there is nothing more rewarding than improving someone's health.
