Dr. Tatiana Borisovna Keck, MD

Dr. Keck is an attentive physician who truly cares. From the very first visit, she was incredibly patient, answering all of my questions. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Keck for her dedication and expertise. I highly recommend Dr. Keck to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate rheumatologist.

If you are searching for answers for your health, look for another doctor to be on your team in this quest. While Dr. Keck may be fine for an open/shut case, her lack of care and rushed time-slots make complicated patients feel unseen, unheard, and unwelcome. No treatment plan was made, no test results explained, no listening to concerns, no possible diagnoses offered, not even a suggestion for another specialist or physical therapy or anything. If you come in with a history of seeing another doctor, those physician’s notes are not even regarded. In the end, I was laughed at by Dr. Keck for asking multiple, genuine questions about my health. I have never had a doctor make me feel so small or unwanted. Please seek care elsewhere.

I had my first visit today with Dr. Keck and I absolutely love her. I love the fact she is straight to the point. All these negative reviews are horrible. This lady has more education then any of you. If you don't like her then move on and find someone else who might spoon feed you or cuddle you. She did her job with me and I look forward to my next appt.

I set up the appointment for my husband who needed a new provider with our recent move to the VA. My husband has had RA for nearly 20 years and had been under the care of another rheumatologist in NJ, where we lived. She not only was completely dismissive of my husbands symptoms and pain. But she actually had the nerve to ask him if he is sure that he really has RA. Mind you the prior treating Rheumatologist had already sent his complete medical history and file. She treated him like he was newly diagnosed when he is nearly 20 years in. She has no clue how to treat patients with compassion or empathy. My husband was in dire need to medication refills but I will either be seeking to change providers in the group or will be seeking a new group.

First off, I am a retired registered nurse with Years of experience in critical care in a teaching hospital working closely with Drs., other nurses and most importantly with patients and their families. I do not suffer fools lightly. I entered Dr. Kicks office and was greeted by a professional staff from the girls who did the intake and made appoints to the girl who did my sonogram and the gentleman who drew my blood. I have awful blood access and he got in on the first try???? Now, the girls who reviewed my meds and took my blood pressure gave me a pleasant surprise. When the took my blood pressure, they pumped the bulb up and then let the air out so very slowly to make sure that she heard the correct systolic and diastolic. I have witnessed nurses in critical care units rely on the pumps or manually just letting the air out quickly. Poor technique! To Dr. Keck, thank you for explaining everything to me. In spite of being an R.N. You didn’t assume that I knew everything. You… carefully explained the results of the tests and asked me frequently if I had any questions. Then came the plan of action. You explained what you thought would help in regards to the tx and the meds that you felt would help the best. You explained the side effects and carefully told me several times that I wouldn’t feel the pain totally gone and what I could expect. She often asked if I had any questions or concerns. As an aside, I am profoundly hard of hearing even with bilateral hearing aids. Everyone spoke clearly and didn’t yell because I couldn’t hear. They are so accommodating. I hold health care workers to a high standard and I can’t think of one thing that would make my experience more positive. Thank you and know that you are appreciated

I was completely impressed with Dr. Keck's professionalism, knowledge and interest in my husband's condition. I accompanied him on the two visits he had with Dr. Keck. She did a thorough physical exam and inquired about symptoms he was having. On follow up visit, she went over all the results of the blood tests that were done during the first visit. I was an RN for 43 years and I know how much time physicians spend "behind the scenes" reviewing blood test results, diagnostic tests and conferring with colleagues on patient cases. She did all of that and I commend her. Kudos to you Dr. Keck and thankyou.

I saw her about a year and half ago. She is probably the least caring physician I have ever seen. She was very short. I felt like wrote off my pain since I wasn’t old enough to have arthritis. Thankfully my general doctor helped me after she had absolutely no interest. He got me on medication which helped tremendously so I could function again. It is so disappointing that a supposed expert in the field could have such little care and knowledge to help me. I am forever thankful to my general practice doctor. I would not recommend her to anyone based on the experience I had personally during the appointment as well as the lack of knowledge and treatment. I have never written a negative review on a physician. This is a first.

RUDE! HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER!

No communication skills whatsoever, no bedside manner. I knew I was in for a treat when she walked into the room. The entire experience from beginning to end was awkward. I won't go there again.

I'm not going to say she doesn't know what she's talking about. She is qualified to do her job. That said, she doesn't really have the patient care thing down yet. Vital information went uncommunicated on more than one occasion. I am no stranger to doing my own research, but I found myself having to do ALL the research. The practice as a whole needs a lesson in patient care; I've been snapped at by surly nurses, rebuked when asking questions, flat out yelled at for not knowing how to get a prescription refilled (or sent to the right place in the first place). Last straw was being shamed for not getting tests done outside the practice -- tests that I was never told I needed. Oh, and they "lost" my HSA payments, too. Don't hold your breath waiting for someone to answer the phone.
