When I found Dr Pestana, she was just starting with functional medicine. Throughout the time I have spent with her I have found a place where my body is starting to make sense. The first time we spoke, she guessed (and was correct) that I had a genetic mutation that had been making living in my body an absolute misery. I was so fatigued I feared I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my family, continue in my career in healthcare, or have any quality of life. My body was doing things I didn’t recognize, my hormones were making everyone, including myself, miserable and I was so discouraged by medical professionals. I have found a place where I’m free to have a conversation with someone who listens with compassion and answers with evidence based medicine and encouragement. A place to lay my fears. Some of my favorite parts of the membership are the patient portal, and the monthly check-ins. If I have a question, she’s just a click away. When was the last time your primary sent you an… email just to check in? Now, I am thriving. In the past month I have had the energy to keep up with my kids, the ability to come home from work without the need to turn into a lump, and prayed in thanksgiving that I’ve found a way through. I have an advocate. Someone to find the real reason I felt so so bad without rushing me out. The root cause matters!! Otherwise you’re just going to multiple doctors who only treat one thing until you just feel like a puzzle with a bunch of pieces and nothing makes sense. The appointments with Dr Pestana are a place for us both to be curious about symptoms, collaborate on treatment options and create a whole body focused wellness plan. You will not be rushed, your questions will be answered. 20/10 recommend!!!

Dr. Tatiana Pestana is the best doctor I've ever had. Besides being knowledgeable, kind, intelligent, possessing a great bedside manner, she also just plain CARES. She's amazing.
