Dr. Tawni Ann Frank, MD

I met Dr. Frank a few times in 2009-2010 and it was clear that her psychiatry training was quite dated. She was pulling all of her patients off benzodiazepines cold turkey, and putting all of them (children, adolescents, adults, seniors) on high dose, brand name Seroquel as the new panacea. I wonder if she was getting pharmaceutical rep kickbacks. Anyway these were during the years that she was in Canada, before heading back to the States after after the government found her and her husband guilty of failing to provide the necessities of life and animal endangerment of 50-100 horses that she had neglected. Don't believe me? Google it. Stay away from Tawni. She's a wreck herself!

I've seen many psychiatrists and other health professionals over the years, and I can say with confidence that I wouldn't have survived high school if it weren't for the intervention of Dr Tawni Frank specifically. She was the first person to take a genuine interest in possible sources of my distress rather than just scolding me like everyone else seemed to. The stereotypes that had mislead everyone else did not deter her, and she started me on treatment for adhd. And she was right; like so many bright young women with adhd, I had gone undiagnosed and had internalized the difficulties I was having, became depressed / anxious as a result. As a matter of fact, I had a classmate in our high school’s rigorous program with a loose and unaddressed adhd diagnosis who was not so lucky as to work with Dr Frank. That classmate got into self-medicating with cocaine and other substances to keep up with the demanding workload, and ended up committing suicide more than half way through our… program. Dr Frank’s diagnosis for me was later confirmed by an official full psychoeducational assessment conducted by a psychologist. The assessment also uncovered the specific learning disability, dyslexia. No one else had even suspected either. Not my parents, nor other doctors I had seen, nor any of my teachers. I am so grateful that Frank listened to me, and advocated for me when everyone else had just attributed my poor academic performance to 'not trying hard enough'. Suicides in youth with invisible disabilities are preventable tragedies. Everyone deserves the chance to work with someone like Dr Frank. The world would be a much better place if more psychiatrists were like her.

This lady is an animal hoarder . Numerous animals were found dead on her properties in Canada. Niglect at its worst with this lady. Stay away!

Doctor Frank is the DUMBEST Psychiatrist I have ever met in my whole life. Trust me I've seen a lot of Psychiatrists and she is so dumb and doesn't know what she is doing nor how to help the patients, she is very slow she will see two patients and other doctors see like 50 a day she doesn't understand what depression is or why people get depressed she is horrible and I hope I will never work with her again!!!!!!!! DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She should not be a Psychiatrist that's all!
