Could not help me - waste of time. 2 times I waited for 2 hrs in their waiting room. Not acceptable. I don't mind waiting 30 mins. but 2 hrs is not good.

I had been going to a chiropractor for a few years now. He then recommended Dr.Gist and I am glad he did. Dr. Gist is very into what needs to be done. He doesn’t push surgery if there is another way. Due to the way my neck was surgery was my option. But the surgery was smooth easy never really took any meds after and was up walking the next day. Sore of course but nothing I couldn’t handle. I wish he was a all around everything doctor. Very sweet and truthful bout what needs and doesn’t need to be done. If I ever need to or have a issue I will be back to see him and only him.

Visited with Dr. Gist for the first time today. His staff is wonderful to deal with, getting into the office was easy. Dr. Gist himself has a great patient manner. He is slow to recommend surgery but thorough in his analysis, diagnosis, and explanation of conditions. He restored comfort for a very bad lower back episode I was suffering. His treatment suggestion makes sense and is non-invasive.

My son has suffered with low back pain for many years, a problem common to our family. Surgery was recommended for surgery by a orthopedic surgeon. Luckily my son decided he needed another opinion. He made an appointment with Dr. Gist. Dr. Gist told him that his problem was not sufficient for a surgical procedure at this time. He recommended physical therapy and other treatments for now. I was so impressed with the fact that he was honest with my son that I made an appointment for much needed cervical spine procedure. I am very impressed with Dr.Gist, his personality, expertise, and honesty.

Dr. Gist is very thorough in his explanations and he is not pushing surgery as the first or necessarily the best treatment.

Dr. Gist is an excellent neurosurgeon. He is compassionate and kind. A true gem!

Dr. Gist is an excellent Neurosurgeon!! My mother had been suffering with severe lumbar stenosis for few years with failed results from multiple steroid spinal injections. He so impressed my mom on our first visit that she chose him over another surgeon we had visited. He took his time explaining the procedure, addressed all of her concerns, and did not make her feel rushed. He operated on her without any complications! NO Infection!! Best decision ever!! Because of his excellent skills, my mom is pain free and able to walk without assistance!! He truly cares about his patients! Excellent bedside manner! Excellent professional office staff!

Dr Gist was on call at the Emergency Room when i had had a serious neurological incident. He successfully diagnosed my problem, performed a cranial biopdy and saved my life. He took extra time to comfort my wife and mske sure I undesrstood my condition. I was blessed that he took my case and will highly reccomend him to anyone who needs his services. His sutures were a work of art and reflect his talent and personality. God bless Dr. Gist.
