Dr. Soo saved my neck! I was very nervous and scared about my condition. I had tried physical therapy, and other alternative treatments. When those ultimately didn?t cure my condition, I came to Dr. Soo for help. He immediately put me at is with his calm presence. He reminded me of my Sensei! I thought this was very fitting because he really is a teacher. I am forever grateful for his healing hands and thank God for connecting me with him. I have a few more weeks of recovery but my quality of life is finally back on the right path.

Wonderful human being and great doctor. Friendly and helpful staff, especially his assistant Tammy. I wish there are more like him.

Dr. Soo won my trust and confidence immediately due to the clarity with which he diagnosed my urgent cervical spine problem, and the required corrective surgery. He was clearly focused only on my health, and how to resolve the dangers I faced without intervention. I am grateful for Dr. Soo's skill and caring approach in restoring my life and good health!

First off I want to say Dr. Soo was so right and right now I feel and can move so much better than a year a go. Now the story - kinda long Last Oct I started falling - over all about 5 or so times before I was able to get surgery. The falls seemed to be from my left leg "giving out" and having no strength or feeling. I started PT right away and went to see Dr. Soo. He was able to diagnose it quickly but had to get verification via 2 joint injections into the SI joint. Needless to say the injections gave the appropriate reaction and surgery was scheduled for Feb 2021. I need to stop here and note that I was put on Norco in Oct and was on it throughout the surgery and recovery. This will become very important soon. I had my surgery and was in the WORST PAIN I have ever been in. It took 2 days post op recovery before I could leave the hospital and then the long road of pain and pills began at home. At my 3 Month Apt with Dr. Soo I brought up this concern and was kinda a… jerk about it. Dr. Soo talked with me in a kind and professional manner. He explained to me that being on the Opioids so long my brain had changed and did not experience "pain" as i had before. I took this to heart and did some research on my own. At the end of the day I got off the Opioids and my pain dramatically decreased over a month. It was still a hard road but I let my emotions get in the way and was very unkind to Dr. Soo. He did the right thing and I want to thank him for the help he gave me to get back to my life. Bruce

I came to Dr.Soo in debilitating pain. I slept poorly, dreaded driving and my back and leg pain was unbearable. Dr.Soo explained everything to me and then fixed my problem. The pain was gone the minute I awakened! No more leg pain! Thanks Doc.

I knew Dr. Soo's reputation when I went in and I was not disappointed. He was very knowledgeable and competent. I had so much pain I could barely walk and now I don't have any pain. He is a good listener, he has a great sense of humor, and I felt like I was in good hands.

His bedside manner can be and has been questioned, but when it comes to spine surgery there is no one else I'd want operating on me. I've had two surgeries done by him, almost 13 years apart. When my quality of life dropped due to my condition, Dr. Teck Soo was able to restore it through minimally invasive surgery. For that, I will always be grateful.

I have been a nurse for over 40 years and have worked in several specialties which has included working with Orthopaedic surgeons. Having experienced an active life, which included an old ski injury causing some cervical c-5/c-6 radiculopathy, I found I was in need of neurosurgical consultation and my PCP highly recommended Dr Teck Soo. I work with Beaumont Hospital affiliated physicians but I was willing to go outside of my " box" and was impressed with Dr Soo's credentials. I had a virtual meeting followed later with an in-person consult and I knew I was in good hands immediately. I loved Dr Soo's intellect, humor, kindness, patience and practice style. You can tell something about a provider when their entire office seems to love who they work for. IT SHOWED. I am recovering well from the posterior cervical compression and fusion and anticipate a successful recovery( I am 12 days post-op). The entire Neuro-Ortho team was great and I highly recommend Dr Soo!

!PLEASE READ! I had unmanageable pain due to degenerative disc disease. Dr. Teck M. Soo performed fusion to my neck (one level). The outcome was so incredible. I have NO pain, at all, full mobility, 7 years later. So, as my back deteriorated (4 herniations) Dr. Soo fused 2 levels. Minimally invasive surgery. No complications. Recovery time was fast. That was 3 years ago. Dr. Soo is an amazing surgeon. I did everything he told me to do, when he told me to do it, and the outcome was worth it all. I would do it again. Dr. Soo is also kind, easy to talk to, understands what I tell him, and he is easy to understand. Plain spoken. Thank you, Dr. Soo, for saving my life. Had stenosis so bad in my neck that it was flattening my nerve and causing so much numbness and pain in my left arm that by the end of the work week I could barely drive home and wasn't able to get comfortable to sleep any more. Dr. Soo is thorough when explaining the problem and what he can do to fix it. I had decompression and fusion on C4-7 five months ago and I can say that I feel so much better and am able to lay flat and sleep now. He actually cares about helping people and getting them back to their quality of life. He also has a great personality :-)
