Dr. Ted Chung, MD

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr.Chung and his practice. I was plagued with a kidney stone that 3 different ERs and one other urologist were unable to locate. Then I switched to Dr. Chung, and he not only "found" the stone, but also removed it via ureteroscopy. Moreover, pretty sure due to where the stone was "stuck", a stent didn't even have to be placed after the surgery. Dr. Chung was friendly yet professional. It was really easy to schedule appointments/surgery. The ureteroscopy was performed 2 weeks ago, and I haven't stopped smiling.... :-)

Got wrong diagnosis and wasted 5 visits while in agonizing pain. He could not find the problem and suggested pain management. Wen for 2nd opinion and found Interstitial Cystitis and extra small bladder. My opinion is Dr. Chung is not good with older patients.

Dr. Chung was very personable and took the time to explain the issue to me. I saw him twice, once in Ft. Walton and once in Destin. Very happy with the results.

I can't believe this place is in business. The doctor could not give me any clue what was wrong with me. He seemed to not care either. I basically felt rushed out the door. I was unable to get me results back to my primary doctor due to their horrible staff. I tried to get the results from them for three weeks but could never get them to call me back or anything. Please don't waste your time or money with this place.

Our experience with this Dr. is beyond words. We are in disbelief. He has put me through a living nightmare! His staff has no compassion or follow through. Having stents in both kidneys, only one kidney functioning and an infection around one of the stents on that good side, he refused to give further antibiotics when I contacted him after the Cipro was gone and I was still peeing blood with severe pain and fever. After a week of begging that I needed more antibiotics and pain medicine he refused to treat me because we got upset that nothing was being done. He cancelled my surgery for Cystal, Retrograde, stent removal, and stent exchange, 3 days before it was to happen and claimed that he could not meet my expectations?! I had waited over a month for this surgery to be scheduled and now he has put me in further distress by refusing to perform. He is not interested in helping you if you have any complications and will freely tell you so. He kept insisting that I was not happy with … him and should find another dr. It was he was not happy with me because of my persistence to get proper care and medication I desperately needed. He threw me to the curb after I had been pleading and crying to him over the phone unable to get out of bed for the last 24 hours. We contacted him on Thursday for help and again on Monday when nothing had been called in by noon on Tuesday we wanted to know why no one has contacted me or the pharmacy, his excuse was that we are not happy with him and we should find another doctor. We take this as a blessing, having no concern for my well being prior to surgery, how could I trust his care during or after my procedures. Please note that normally I would not even take time or have time to write something negative towards another, but in this case I feel compelled to share my experience so others will not waste one minute of their time or money going to him who wasted my time and jeopardized my health.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chung for about 5 years. He has provided me urology examinations and testing accompanied with answers for any and all of my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Chung to family and friends.

office staff is TERRIBLE. i do not recommend this doctor
