Dr. Ted grew up with his brother, John, in Birmingham, Alabama. He received a B.S. in biology from Birmingham-Southern College, and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2003.
After working for several years as an associate dentist at Oneonta Dental Center, he started McCalla Dental with his brother, John. Their vision was to create a dental practice that would benefit the community and the patients.
Dr. Ted is a member of the Birmingham District Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Ted is continually studying new methods and techniques in dentistry, focusing on the areas of cosmetic dentistry, including veneers and crowns, and endodontics (root canal therapy).
Dr. Ted lives in the McCalla area with his wife, Karol Poczatek, who is also a recent graduate from the UAB School of Dentistry, with her own dental practice in Pelham, Alabama. They have a young …daughter and enjoy traveling and gardening.
