Dr. Tenera Styles

Tenera Styles is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania who earned a Master of Arts in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University. She has over 10 years of experience in assisting adults, children, and families with managing various life circumstances and empowering them to achieve their goals. Tenera has worked with those who may be experiencing trauma, depression, grief/loss, anxiety, self-harm/injury, mood disorders, mental illness, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Tenera tailors her approach to meet the needs of her clients and help them to be successful during the course of their treatment. She utilizes elements from CBT, mindfulness, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies. Tenera looks to help clients increase their comfort and confidence in expressing their emotions and understands that one’s experiences (past and present) greatly affect their current emotional functioning. Tenera believes …therapy will be helpful only if therapist and client build a great therapeutic relationship. She believes in being transparent and collaborative with her clients. She hopes to build a warm, caring, and nonjudgmental environment to that allows clients to feel comfortable in expressing themselves.
