Dr. Tennisha Edwards DNP, CPNP-PC

Dr. Tennisha Edwards, DNP, MSN, RN-BC, CPNP-PC, is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with more than 16 years of clinical experience caring for children from birth through young adulthood.

She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Emory University and completed her graduate training as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the University of Rochester. Throughout her career, Dr. Edwards has been recognized for her thorough, compassionate, and family-centered approach to care. She takes time to listen, answer questions, and ensure that both children and their caregivers feel seen, informed, and supported.

Dr. Edwards founded TelaPediatrics to make trusted pediatric care more accessible to modern families without sacrificing the personal connection that defines an exceptional healthcare experience. Through secure virtual visits, she provides evidence-based care for newborn concerns, common childhood illnesses, chronic-condition follow-up, adolescent health needs, …developmental and behavioral concerns, medication management, referrals, and parental guidance.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Edwards has served as a preceptor and mentor to future nurse practitioners for more than a decade. As both a pediatric provider and a mother of three, she understands the importance of having reliable guidance when questions arise—especially outside the walls of a traditional medical office.

Her vision for TelaPediatrics is simple: to provide expert pediatric care that is personal, convenient, and virtually present at every stage of childhood.
