Dr. Teofilo Camilo Gozaine, MD

The best otolaryngologist I have visited, I had been suffering from both ears for many years, and all the otolaryngologists I had previously visited treated my disease as serous otitis media, Dr. Gozaine was the only one who diagnosed my real problem, which was the tube patulous eustachian disease, gave me the correct management and has improved my quality of life.

I saw Dr. Gozaine twice. Each time I noticed that he did not wash his hands or sanitize his hands before coming into the exam room. In fact, the last time I saw him he could not read what was on the computer because it was so small, so he got a pair of reading glasses that appeared to be shared by more than one person. That means that the front desk staff who handled insurance cards from other patients had touched the glasses. Then he touched the glasses. Then he walked into the exam room and started examining me. He answered none of my questions and kept referring me back to you one single answer. I will not be going back to him

It has been a few years, and he was the only ENT on my insurance at the time. I know that he was having personal issues at the time, but that was no excuse. I was having 2 years worth of severe sinus issues, and I KNEW what disease I had, due to a condition of my nose. Initial visit, he said 'oh no, that's caused by snorting drugs'. Never used an illegal drug in my life, nor misused any prescription or over the counter medications. Then when a cat scan showed that my sinuses were full, packed with infection, he said 'what are you stuffing up your nose?' Thankfully for me, my insurance changed, and I was able to utilize a different ENT, get a proper diagnosis, and proper treatment.

Not a very good bedside manner. Very great in his field, but not confidence inspiring. Was having to be referred to a different dr due to my insurance. They didn't follow through. Had to find one myself.
