Dr. Teofilo Roberto Lama, MD

Worst hospital I've ever been to. Dr. Teofilo Lama never even examined my 3 month old after he was rushed via ambulance from Palms West for a head injury, and then discharged him while overlooking my son's CT scan sent over from Palms West. My son had a fractured skull which I only FIRST learned about TWO WEEKS LATER when DCF came poking around only to have both of my children taken from me due to his misdiagnosis or complete MISS of a diagnosis. We were treated like criminals, no Doctor would speak with us, and Dr. Lama fed FALSE information to the DCF supervisor and I quote " The boy has brain atrophy due to malnutrition. He has the brain of a 65 year old man. And he has spots on his brain which will lead to him being special needs. " None of this was true and was proven to be quite the opposite when the neurologist finally looked at my son after he was FINALLY admitted to the PICU unit. Shame on you St. Mary's. Shame on you Dr. Lama. You almost ruined our lives but we fought and we… got our babies back and they are THRIVING, no thanks to you. God forbid we never have to go back to this man ever again.

This doctor was amazing, I would trust him with my life as he was gracious enough to help save my mothers life from a stroke and she has been able to regain almost all her faculties in six month. He is on top of things. We need more doctors like him, I wish I could have him as a primary doctor he is very caring and concerned about all his patients.
