Dr. Terence James Murphy

Dr. Murphy is the best primary care doctor I've ever had!

Today I had my first visit with Dr. Murphy. I found him to be very friendly, informative, helpful, and kind. He had great advice for me (a 59 year old overweight individual), and made the entire visit very positive. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Murphy has always been great with me. He addresses my concerns and takes time to explains things. The man is taking care or 3 or 4 doctors patience plus his own. He may have been having a bad day for some of the reviews.

For months I had been scheduled to see this doctor to establish him as a primary. Previously I had seen an ARNO who I was happy with but the office wanted me to establish for insurance reasons. My primary concern was significant weight gain caused by a medication I'm on. Despite a strict supervised diet and exercise the weight issue remains. Dr. Murphy used this as an invitation to be condescending. He repeatedly told me to lower my caloric intake, without listening to what I was already doing. Furthermore this man had the nerve to mention how many calories the holocaust victims consumed daily, before they starved to death. I went in hoping for help and instead got told to do what I've been doing, despite seeing no results in 6 months. He accused me of being a pill seeker and insinuated that I was only there to get "legal cocaine".

An hour late, took a phone call during the appointment, didn’t listen to my concerns.

I have been a patient of dr. Murphy for 6 years he is always attentive to my needs has an awesome bedside manner. My wife called last week and she got a return call from Brenda within 10 minutes the responsive and I trust him completely

I'm a retired engineer, who has a very analytical nature. Because I like to research medical issues, I put a lot of importance on detailed discussions with my medical providers. Dr. Murphy has always had the patience and medical knowledge to discuss my problems in detail, and clearly knows how to treat a patient with respect. I most definitely would recommend Dr. Terence Murphy to my friends and family.

Everyone from Checking in, to my nurse, to Dr Murphy himself was very courteous and considerate to me and my health. Dr Murphy listened to me and didn't make me feel like I was insignificant.

Dr. Murphy is a highly qualified and caring physician. Excellent practical advice.

I moved to the Tallahassee area recently and needed new Doctors. I have primarily lived in large cities during my long life and wanted and needed a doctor who I could identify with. By that, I mean a highly experienced Doctor who would listen carefully to my complaints and respect the medical knowledge that I have obtained. Dr. Murphy made me feel very comfortable and gave me ample time to talk about my medical needs and concerns. Patients need to be put at ease, in order to discuss private medical issues. I was most certainly at ease, and have confidence in his referral to a Spine specialist. I believe most people have heard the term " a good bedside manner " - well you have that with Dr Murphy.
