Dr. Teresa Diane Beam, MD

Dr Beam diagnosised me with interstitial cystitis via surgery. I was never warned before surgery that I would be unable to work or go to college or participate in life. After surgery I was left in a lot of pain and even stand long enough to walk to the bathroom. Dr Beam informed at my follow that us was very common in women after diagnosis. She put me on elmiron and antibiotics and demeral everyday for 8 months. I can back every month expressing my quality of life was declining and she never even looked up from writing notes for elmiron trial. I ended up having surgery with my obgyn at 6 months out of being diagnosed with ic, to remove my Endometriosis. My obgyn who originally referred me to dr beam, asked dr beam to join him in surgery because we knew Endo was growing on my bladder. She refused the invitation. At 8 months out I tried to take my own life. IU invited her to come see me and asked for her help in my care because she is the #1 urologist in the state, and she declined and… dropped me as a patient. I wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemy. She has horrible bed side manor and zero compassion, this includes her staff.

Dr. Beam is an excellent physician. She listens to my concerns and is very compassionate. She is very gentle with her treatments

Dr. Beam is very knowledgeable. It is very hard to find someone who understands IC. She gave me so many new strategies and even provided a solution for when I'm in the middle of the dreaded flare. She is also very kind and compassionate. She patiently answered all of my questions.

Have had 3 procedures with Dr. Beam Have never met a more professional and caring physician ever. Each person is treated like a human not a number. Best care I have ever received

Dr. Beam has been treating me for I.C. She is a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable physician. She treats my condition and is there for me when in a crisis. I was a former patient of Dr. Peter Knapp and he felt she is an expert in I.C so I agreed to see her and I am very happy with her care.

Dr. Beam is an excellent urologist. i have a very difficult medical condition, with many different doctors involved and she has been the best of the group by far. i would highly recommend her.

Dr. Beam is a caring and knowledgable physician. I have IC and she has taken very good care of my needs. When my IC flares she is there to help me through the crisis.
