Dr. Teresa Podlesnik Borino, MD

The rating varies depending on which you get! When my GP of bucco years retired, I transferred my records to Borino. I had a progressive, painful, neurological disease. She seemed great at first. She wrote notes to my employer for FMLA, gave me her home phone number so I wouldn't have to pay for an office visit and exam each month to get the same mild pain meds. However, you never knew who you would get! O e day, I might be greeted with a happy hug as if an old time friend--the next visit, she might shout and storm out of the exam room because I asked for a follow up chest xray (I had pneumonia and had been in the ER a month or two earlier). She was extremely, unpredictably, startlingly bipolar!!! After years of treatments and surgery, there came a time that it was necessary I apply for Disability. She told me her office did not support or deny disability claims and I would not get it as my disease was not listed as one of the main qualifying diseases. I asked for copies of "all"… of my medical records....both hers and my previous doctor. She claimed (after years of referring to them) that she never received my prior doctor's records and deleted and falsified my records with her. Example: she had no records of my regularly dispensed pain meds (I had the pharmacy print off years of them); she deleted all notes for the visit for my neuro disease (She referred me for the surgery) so I also received those records from another avenue; one of my last visits where we discussed various pain centers, research centers, genetic testing, etc....she changed her notes to say my visit was for a PAP smear and pelvic exam (NEVER happened)! When I wrote her a letter requesting corrections or reason why (as per law) she ignored it and did not respond. I could have tamen it before her licensing board, but frankly, I was too ill and had found other avenues to retrieve my records. All of this after years of her being my doctor and "flipping" helter skelter from one persona to the next between visits. I received my disability due to the plethora of doctors from research centers, surgeries, and years of care other than Borino. It is good that she retired. She never should have been a treating physician.

Takes the time to answer all your questions. Very caring doctor. Personally sends out results of all tests done.

She is a wonderful lady when you are in her office, but does not follow up once you leave.
