Dr. Teresa Marie Caron, MD

Dr. Caron replied to my email to my physician, who she must be covering for, for some reason. Anyway, she came across really caring and friendly, which is not easy to do in pithy medical communiqués. I'm having some Covid-19-related stuff happening, and she was really reassuring and helpful.

Literally asked me why I'm in office visiting her... um because I'm sick?! Very unhelpful, didn't want to be there, and I did not appreciate her reiterating how she doesn't understand why I'm in her office when I could have just had a video appointment, or gotten over the counter medication.

Dr. Caron is an attentive capable physician working in an institutional environment that increasingly limits her ability to conduct exceptional medical practices. She has been as thorough in dealing with my maladies as the system allows. Having spent my entire life with access to high end medical care I find her refreshing in the quality challenged wasteland of managed care.

This physician should be investigated thoroughly. The words I feel compelled to use for Teresa Caron (MD): lazy, incompetnent, bungling. Her practically "instant" diagnosis (within 5 minutes of visit): shingles However, I had absolutely NO symptoms of shingles, plus I told her I never had chicken pox. But she was CONVINCED! And I was NAIVE! If she had taken a minute or two to check Kaiser's history on me, she'd have quickly learned I'd been a heavy smoker for 38 years until I quit 20 years ago. A simple chest x-ray then would have revealed LUNG CANCER! EIGHT MONTHS were lost to me. When it was 'discovered' 8 mos later, it was diagnosed at stage 3. ANYONE can make a mistake, but we are talking about carelessness, incompetence and lazy medical practice in my opinion. She should be removed from Kaiser's roster of internal medicine physicians, very likely to save someone else from the same possibly mortal error. Her judgment MUST BE QUESTIONED and I fear Kaiser will not act on… behalf of those of us who have found her practice severely and seriously lacking.
