Superb Doctor

I first saw Dr. Klich-Nowak when I took an elderly neighbor to see her for severe swelling in her hand. She was consistently very rude to her. I ended up seeing her for RP and she failed to diagnose me and was also rude the numerous times I saw her. I finally stopped seeing her and eventually started seeing a rheumy in Springfield, which is a trip to me, but at least I see a qualified Doctor who treats me with respect and knows his medicine.

Incredibly thorough, patient, spends as much time as necessary listening and acquiring information. Excellent Doctor!

I have met with Dr. Novak twice and each time have felt impressed with her evaluation, treatment, and recommendations. She was candid yet kind, and really listened to my concerns. We discussed options going forward and I honestly felt I was in the most capable hands. I appreciate her no nonsense approach since it helped me be more realistic about my responsibilities as a patient. She exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Nowak disappeared from Mercy without notice or giving her patients her next location. I feel abandoned!!!!

I usually go to Dr. Schwitzer in this practice. He was unavailable and I needed to be seen. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. Dr. Nowak asked me to explain why I was there. I told her everything. The first thing she said to me, after not looking at me once just at her papers is.. Well you need to lose weight. I explained I have been working on it but with so much pain it is hard to exercise, she said no need for exercise it is because of what you "shove in my mouth". I explained my PC told me that the meds I was on for my fibromyalgia can make you hold weight and gain weight, she told me to stop blaming the meds and worry more about what I am eating. If I was going to blame the meds, just stop taking them. The meds her partner in the office put me on! She went on and on for 20 min to a point of me crying. She told me she was sorry I was upset but the truth hurts. My husband was sitting there and his jaw just dropped. She finally looked at ONE of the reasons I was there never addressed… the other things I needed to see her about. She stated out loud what she was writing on her paper work 1) Foot pain 2) Fibromyalgia 3) excessive weight. I would not ever, ever send a person to see her. She should be stripped of her license.

This doctor gave me a diagnosis, handed me a pamphlet, and then couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I left with more than a dozen questions unanswered. When I tried to get answers later, she did not understand well enough to give me the information I needed and her answers were inconsistant. My referral got lost on her desk. I was very disappointed.

GRATEFUL TO DR. KLICH NOWAK â?¡

I think the negative reviews for Dr. Nowak are probably exaggerations. She was born in eastern Europe and has a demeanor which can be perceived as rude but is not intended to be. I saw Dr. Nowak many times for arthritis pain in my hip. She gave excellent advice for pain relief measures at home, and she gave careful, effective cortisone injections into the painful joint space. Dr. Klich Nowak was socialized in another country. Her style is one of efficiency. Of course it has to be, since a roomful of patients are waiting to have their concerns addressed too. Before I eventually got a hip replacement I had seen every one of the rheumatologists in the group. I believe Dr. Klich Nowak is the best one.
