Dr. Teresa Ann Mahaffey, MD

She is one of the best Doctors that you will ever encounter. She is patient and genuinely loves children. She is attentive and listens to children and parent concerns. She is outstanding and was worth the drive for over 13 years!

My child saw Dr. Mahaffey from birth until approx 3 yrs. ago. We usually saw Sue, her nurse, and she was wonderful and very caring. The times that we did happen to see Dr. Mahaffey, she was wonderful too. I was very pleased, and it was nice to have my child's pediatrician's office so close to our home.I was very saddened when we decided to leave the practice over a nebulizer. My child was given a neb by one of the other nurses there for a case of croup that developed. I was instructed to bring the machine back to the office, I believe within two weeks, when the medicine that was prescribed was finished. That day we saw a nurse we had never seen before, and she had us sign paperwork, which I didn't read and assumed it was to "check out" the nebulizer. Keep in mind that I was clearly and explicitly directed by this nurse to bring back the neb, so I never thought to read the paperwork whatsoever. At no time was I told I was PURCHASING the neb. My child does not have asthma or any… sort of respiratory difficulties usually, just the croup that had quickly developed and quickly left. Even though this doctor has an autistic child, her office has recently made vaccinations mandatory for her patients. Way to go in giving parents of autistic children an option! Sorry but we will not be allowing our son to backslide due to another vaccination and that is our choice as responsible parents!

Dr. Mahaffey is the best pediatrician in Santa Rosa County. She understands the complexity of caring for a special needs patient because her son is autistic. She saved my oldest sons life when his asthma was undiagnosed from two previous pediatricians. Superior diagnostic care, superior bedside manner, superior understanding of special needs children.

I have used Dr. Mahaffey for years. She is a very caring physician who takes time with each patient. I recommend her office to people all the time. She also has a great ARNP, Sue. The office staff seems to work well together and strives to treat you as they would want to be treated. I feel this office goes above and beyond to take care of my children!!Wouldn't dream of ever going anywhere else....

This lady is involved with and loves her patients! A great person, very down-to-earth, takes out time with patients. Very caring and professional. Great at diagnosing and treating illnesses. A great listener! I would highly recommend her!

Incompetant, rude, and the code wrong so you get charge. A nightmare. Even other offices in the area know people are leaving this practice due to these issues. Avoid.

My kids are quite healthy and have only needed to go to the Dr's office a few times for some "checkups" and once for a curious spot on the arm which turned out to be nothing ha! But I LOVE this office, and I am quite picky about these types of things. The office is very clean, closed and separated well/sick waiting rooms. new and clean/efficient equipment and patient rooms with lots of nice books for the kids. Dr Mahaffey as well as all of her staff are very considerate and knowledgeable. They take great care with the kids are very loving with them. She as well as her NP Sue, are very easy to talk to and spend ample time without rushing and truly listen and talk to you. Very straightforward, no dumbing down or condescending tone here! Very professional and wise and understanding of our family's choices and health concerns. As long as I am in NW Florida, Dr. Mahaffey is our go to Dr!

If your child has no serious medical issues. I have used her for years with my oldest and she was wonderful. My youngest has had chronic loose stools, distended stomach, runny noses, and a wheezy chest. All of these she passes off as "teething." I'm a nurse. I know that you can't get a wheezy chest from teething. No further tests have been ever been ran to determine a reason.

My children have never been severally ill, but on in my family was. I told the mother to go to Dr. Mahaffey. She found out exactly what the other doctor couldn't find also gave her personal cell just in case of emergencies. He's doing so much better now thanks to her!!
