Dr. Teresa O Connor Ruch, MD

I saw Dr Ruch several years ago and she was wonderful and explained everything I needed to understand. Since seeing her I referred my brother in law to her and he had a very complicated surgery with an unexpected dangerous unknown issue and she saved his life. She was so caring and took time to explain everything to him and my sister. If it wasn’t for her experience and level of training he may not have survived. I am now ready to make another appointment with her to have one of the surgeries that I need. I would not consider a surgery if she was not available.

She’s operated on my spine 3 times ~ in every case she was fabulous with me ~ I read a review where someone said she was cruel & held a vindictive grudge ~ I was totally shocked ~ she is the best at what she does ~ I wouldn’t want anyone else to do surgery on my spine / back .~ I’ve never had a bad exdperiance with her ~ she is a caring loveing individual with great exsperties in her field ~ like I said I wouldn’t want anyone else to do my surgeries ~ I have no idea what this person could possibly be talking about ~ she has never ever came across to me as anything but caring

Her back surgery where good, nut she abuses her athourity! Every nurse had nothing but bad things to say, about her, but they can loose there jobs if they speak up, they where scared, about her God complex’s. She over aboused herauthoriypty! Thank god I know a few reporters to tell and, check under Criminal , Valdez Clerks of county Courts, yes, she has law suits! No ones above the law! Not even Teraresa Tuuch!

I had a back condition from an injury at work. The only person who stood out amongst all the others, was Dr.Ruch. She is a true advocateof medicine & your health. She has updated procedues,is honest and direct with your prognosis & has a heart. My pain was chronic and I had to wait for surgery. By then I was in tears from pain & fear. Only a minute, she stopped to embrace me fully. That says it all. After this many years of practicing medicine,she has a huge heart and the sbility to see you as a human being.

Although she came highly recommended by my primary care Dr, I would NOT recommend her. I ended up with a paralyzed vocal cord after cervical disc surgery. I was choking terribly on my saliva, and was convinced that I would end up with pneumonia. I had NO voice, ran out of air after 2 words, and choked on everything. She assured me this was "normal" and that it should resolve by 4 months. I questioned her, because I could not imagine living 4 months like this. I asked if I should go see an ear nose and throat Dr. to see if something else was going on. She said "No... but if you're still like this in 4 months, then you should go". Well, I decided to go anyway, because I knew that something was terribly wrong, and it was. My right vocal fold nerve had been damaged during my surgical disc surgery. Prior to my surgery, she explained to me that although this was a "risk", she has NEVER ended up with a patient with a permanently paralyzed vocal cord. She knew that my career was "voice" based.… Without my voice, I had no career. I would love to know if she told me the complete truth. Also, I was having issues with the disc below the one that she fused. Some of my symptoms coincided with issues with this disc. Her game plan was to do a one level fusion, even though the one below it had issues. When I brought this up to her in the hospital prior to my surgery, she says to me "Well, what do you want me to do? You want me to do a two level fusion, then I will just have to put in different hardware. Other than that, it is nothing different than I had planned". Wait... she is leaving this decision up to me???????? Isn't she the professional? Knowing that I do not have the qualifications to make such a huge decision, I opted to just have a single level fusion. But, here I am today, almost 2 years since my surgery and I still have symptoms that are coming from the disc below the one that was fused. Well, there is no way that I am going back for another fusion surgery, so now I am stuck like this the rest of my life.I've also had to undergo 3 surgeries in their attempt to restore my speaking voice, although I will NEVER sing again. Bottom line is that she did not act in a professional manner, and she also failed to diagnose my paralyzed vocal cord (even though she is a neurologist) Go figure...
