Amazing thoughtful, caring and invested psychiatrist. You people should be ashamed of yourselves turning to a review website while in the waiting room of a doctor's office…complaining that you have to be properly diagnosed before you can get your fix. Go back to Yelping about your enchiladas, dirty flatware and terrible service.

The one star is extremely generous. She is a complete joke. She is begging for a malpractice lawsuit. Office staff is absolutely horrible and unprofessional. They fraudulently bill your insurance and charge your on record payment card for appointments you dont receive and will not refund the money! It has always been horrible service but with covid they really stepped the terrible service up a notch. Everyone who said she was always late with appointments was absolutely correct not only is she continuously 4-5 hours late with appointments she picks and chooses which appointments she wants to do and has no regard for your time or any care for the safety and well being of the patient. I have had to call the office non stop for hours at a time to get anyone to pick up the phone. Most of the time when you call instead of ringing it just repeats "this mailbox is full". The unprofessional and blatant disregard for patient safety is outrageous! As a mental health provider there is a legal… obligation to render care for established patients especially for minors but here we are 1 week now with no help. She refuses to return phone calls you get no responses on the patient portal and you rarely get an answer at her office. Do not waste your time here!!!!!!

Came to a diagnosis of a mood disorder I don’t have within 5 minutes. Spent the entire appointment chewing me out in an incomprehensible way. Was over an hour late. Worse experience I’ve ever had with a health care provider

First of all, Dr. Brothers has no bedside manner at all. She is difficult to communicate with because she interrupts and cuts you off. But, she was the ONLY Adolescent Psychiatrist that was taking new patients in my area so I was stuck with her. We routinely waited in the lobby for an hour before we were seen at our appointments. In other words, if we had an appointment for 3 pm, it was very common not to be seen until 4 pm. BUT, if you are late or miss an appointment, she charges you $150.00. (I was never charged but was warned.) Secondly, she diagnosed my teenage daughter with BiPolar II disorder and prescribed meds. After 6 months, we saw no changes and I told her I didn't think this was working. She then proceeded to read to me ALL of her notes on the diagnosis as if to prove to me that she was right (no reason to do this) and when I told her I had a feeling there was something *else* going on, she literally told me, "That's my diagnosis and if you don't like it you can go… somewhere else." SO WE DID. I had to scramble to find some other health care provider who would help my daughter titrate off all of the medications because she refused to fill any prescriptions for us. Luckily, we found someone who actually listened to me and ran a thyroid test on my daughter... Turns out my daughter's symptoms were caused by undiagnosed Celiac Disease and now that she is on a strict GF diet, she does not suffer from panic attacks or depression anymore. (Those are very common symptoms due to anemia and malnutrition.) Thankfully, I followed my instincts and left. I'm not saying she should have figured it out, I am just saying she should have listened to me and not been so rude and dismissive. My family will NEVER use her services again.

Dr. Brothers is a no-nonsense, brilliant professional woman doctor, whom my daughter and I have been faithfully seeing for years. She knows her sh*t. She doesn't putz around. If the 2 hour wait is too long for you, find someone better, (if you can). She cares enough to be thorough and catch up with client's on the latest behavioral stuff going on. She does not just prescribe and blow you off! My daughter's bipolar has been disabling, but Dr. Brothers has been tireless in working to help find an excellent cocktail of meds that will stabalize her; we love and respect Dr. Brothers and above all, we are grateful for all she has done and continues to do for my daughter, J. She gave me 50 mg over the max dose. Worse doc ever!

Dr Brothers takes a lot of time with her patients. The waiting time at an appointment can be close to 2 hrs. She seems to listen fairly well and is knowledgeable of medications. She is impossible to reach outside of an appointment though. She doesn't have voicemail so the receptionist has sent her 4 messages this week from me. All are time sensitive matters, still no response. I will be going today to sit in her office until I get a response. This is unacceptable.
