Chirpy and bright, Dr. Chen--she’s a delight. You should go see her. I have been seeing Dr. Teris Minsue Chen, dermatologist, approximately every 6 months during the last 3 years. She is meticulous and fun at the same time. In fact, she inspires me to write poetry in the haiku style. Skin have an ouchie? Dr. Chen’s never grouchy. She’s skin care’s Fauci. You have Medicare? You have a skin cancer scare? Dr. Chen, go there! Her name is Minsue. Dr. Chen knows what to do. Skin cancer, you’re through. You got skin cancers? Dr. Chen has the answers. See the doctor! Now! For surgery Mohs On your scalp, forehead, or toes, Dr. Chen, she knows! Dr. Chen loves cats. She always listens and chats. She wears funny hats.

Dr Chen was very professional concerned not only with treatment of my cancer but also about me and my well-being.

Dr. Chen is hands down the best dermatologist I’ve ever had! And arguably the best doctor, as well! She caters to whatever contact mode you prefer (which is text message in my case), making appointment scheduling and communication super convenient. There was no wait time, and her approach is very personalized. She took her time to answer all my questions, making me feel comfortable asking things that I probably wouldn’t have asked an ordinary doctor. She really goes the extra mile in caring for her patients and meticulously accounts for all of your individual needs. Dr. Chen is the complete opposite of a “cookie cutter” doctor! She doesn't try to sell you anything, which I appreciate, and she recommended some affordable skin-care products that can be found at any convenient store. She is also incredibly personable and has a great sense of humor. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Thank you, Dr. Chen!!!

Dr. Minsue (Big Balls) Chen: is the best skin cancer surgeon in Houston. Her credentials are amazing; she is one very smart woman. Likes to play music her favorite song is Big Balls by AC/DC. Plus, she is one of the finest human beings you could hope meet in your life. She cares for her patients like they are her children. Dr. Chen is a beautiful woman inside and out. You may have to wait a couple of months to become a new patient but it is worth the wait. Jack Gott

Dr. Chen's practice is amazing. The service is akin to a concierge physician, without the extra cost. Have you ever tried to get an appointment to see a dermatologist? You are likely to wait months, but not with Dr. Chen! Her practice is probably the best kept secret in dermatology in the Houston area. If you need the help of a dermatologist, surgical or non-surgial, I cannot recommend anyone more highly.

We were so lucky to have Dr. Chen removed my wife's skin cancer. The procedure went smoothly and she did everything to make us relax. Two and a half month later it healed so well that is much better than expected. She cares about her patient and we were treated as her family. We actually enjoyed every visit with her. Dr. Chen is so funny and she made us laugh all the time, which usually doesn't happen in a doctor's office.

Dr. Chen is AMAZING!!! Wonderful bedside manner, extremely intelligent and personable. More importantly she actually cares very deeply about the welfare of her patients. Her surgical technique is great; took off a basal cell cancer from my chest about a year ago and I can't even find the scar. She always explains things in great detail so I understand what she is doing. In addition to her skill as a physician, she is genuinely a really nice person, down to earth and unaffected. She also plays hockey, and my wife and I had the pleasure of attending one of her games where the diminutive Dr. Chen was a whirling dervish on the ice. I wish I could clone her into all my other physicians, and if I could give her ten stars I would!

Dr. Chen is in a category all her own. If you value efficient, professional care that is totally focused on you the patient, then you have found the right doctor. Dr. Chen was thorough in explaining her approach to patient care, why she does it this way and how the patient stands to benefit. I found it to be a fantastic experience. I wish all doctors were as motivated in their patient care as she is. Dr. Chen’s method of communicating with patients via text was refreshing in its novelty and proved to be a great way to stay in touch. Our communication was frequent and reassuring throughout the pre- and post-surgical process. Dr. Chen is pleasant, humorous, meticulous and genuine in her desire to constantly improve the quality of her care. When she asked me how her practice could be improved, I had no answer. I was a process improvement manager for 30 years and I don’t have a single recommendation for her. Trust me, that is rare.

A truly great doctor who cares and successfully treated me where others failed. She is compassionate, thorough and skillful. It was a blessing to find her!

I would highly recommend this doctor. Sadly, it's the first time I did not feel that the doctor was rushed and just trying to rush the whole process. She was very thorough and explained everything to me. She asked me several times if I had any questions. She's a one-man show at her office, but that in no way interferes with her patient care.
