Amazing, caring, extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy doctor

Dr. Peabody is the best, professional, compassionate. Prior to seeing Dr. Peabody, I was told by another NMH orthopedic surgeon that I either had a stress fracture or cancer. Fairly wide extremes and I was frightened. Dr. Peabody came into the room, sat down, explained the situation (given my history of cancer), I felt at ease. He indicated we do some blood tests and another MRI. He CALLED me within days of these tests. I have recommended him to my co-workers. Thank you Dr. Peabody.

After a recent bout of pneumonia that would not resolve, I had a CT scan of my upper body which revealed a tumor in my arm. This required an MRI and a full body bone scan, where other lesions were found in my leg. After a battery of blood work, Xrays & more MRI's, I was panicked. The concern of a lung issue, multiple tumors in different bones... the fear of metastatic bone cancer was real. I needed an orthopedic oncologist and I was referred to Dr. Peabody. Within moments of meeting Dr. Peabody, I felt reassured I was in the right hands. He did not display the arrogance of many surgeons of his talent and expertise. In fact, he shook my hand, introduced himself and talked to me in a way I could understand. I wasn't afraid of asking questions and his explanations were so clear, I was at ease about my condition and the necessary treatment and follow-up. Without a doubt, my appointment could not have been better. The entire experience was consistent with the… reputation of excellence for which Northwestern is renowned. Dr. Peabody's compassion, disposition and demeanor were unparalleled. I wouldn't consider going to anyone else.

I have been seeing Dr Peabody since I was Diagnosed with a rare bone cancer at just 12 years old back in 1995... he is understanding, honest, gentle, straight forward, he tells you ALL of your options and he tells you WHY he would go with one choice over another, he watches out for his patients and he genuinely cares... I love my doctor because he not only saved my life but also my left leg!

My daughter saw Dr. Peabody for limb salvage surgery. She had a Parosteal Osteosarcoma. We had 2 other opinions and one of those was amputation. Dr. Peabody not only saved my daughters leg but her life too. He managed all of this with the best bedside manner I have ever seen in a Doctor. He answers your questions promptly emails you back. I cannot say enough about this Doctor. We will be following him to his move to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
