Exellent doctor in any respect

His' bedside manner' should have been reported!!! He must have paid extra for the girl in his office to look the other way!

Dr. Himelfarb saved my life and my babies life. I had a Kidney stone and I was pregnant and Johns Hopkins told me in order for them to treat me and save my life I would have to have an abortion. I left Hopkins and went to Franklin Square where I found Dr. Himelfarb. He saved both of our lives. My daughter is now a health happy 17 years old and I am still alive to see her. He is straight forward and dry but I would rather have it straight than have a dr who doesn't tell me the truth. I have never had a problem with him or his staff.

Dr. HImelfarb's wreck of an out dated office should have been a big red flag of how things were going to go! Being a first time patient, he sat with me in his office first & I tried to discuss my symptoms & information with him. He really didn't want to hear what I had to say. It was like answering a multiple choice test when the answers didn't really fit 100% of the question. I couldn't elaborate before he'd quickly cut me off. I told him that I had been diagnoised with Interstial Cystitis and he said flat out that he "didn't believe in that because there's no cure for it." I had gone through a lot of pain & trouble to prepare a sterile urine sample for him which he refused to even allow me to get out of my purse to give him. I should have ran out of his office then, but I continued on to the exam room where he started to proceed. He didn't want to explain anything to me before he did it. He said he'll explain it when "we're done." I raised my voice and said No! He dragged me back to… his office to tell me finally what he was going to do was take a culture, put me under anathesia for a dialation (which is basic nonsensical mutalation) and a few other procedures! Thanks for letting me finally know Dr. Himelfarb you're as old fashioned & out of date on your practice as your office is!
