Dr. Terrence Andrew Sedgewick, MD

I do not think I could tell you how much I dreaded having this knee surgery and how long I put it off. Finally, after falling one too many times, I had it done, a total knee replacement. I. Not only survived the surgery, at my own request I went home the next day and the recuperation began. I knew it was not going to be easy, and it wasn't. But physical therapy went well, I worked hard at home, Dr. Sedgewick and his office staff kept me informed about everything, and kept the pain under control. I am now almost 3 months past surgery and could not be happier with my results. I no longer feel like I might fall and my knee feels strong. I feel so much better than I thought I would at this point.

I went to Dr. Sedgewick based upon two recommendations I received from friends. I was very delighted to be able to get an appointment fairly soon after calling. During the appointment, he manipulated my knee to check what he needed to check and had x-rays taken. That was fine except that for the following week my knee was very swollen and painful. Based upon the x-rays and his exam, he ordered an MRI and I was promptly called by his nurse the day after my initial appointment to schedule the MRI. Again great service. But that was the last time I heard from him. I had the MRI over a week ago, the MRI specialist assured me Dr. Sedgewick would have the results in 48 hours. Still haven't heard back from Dr. Sedgewick's office and I know that the results are in as my PCP received the copy I requested to go to him. So apparently, if you don't need surgery, don't expect a response or any recommendations from Dr. Sedgewick about the MRI he requested for you. Then when a call was made to the… office to ask about the results of my MRI, they do not have phone coverage from 11:45am to 1:00pm for lunch and you are requested to call back.

I have had 3 surgeries with Dr. Sedgewick due to my 30 years as a meat cutter. Dr. Sedgewick is a true professional and Has a great bed-side manner.

I had an ACL repair from a skiing injury years ago. Now close to 40 and in the years that have passed I have been an avid runner and mountain biker - and have been skiing aggressively. The knee has been stout.

Took his time and listened to me...even when I "babbled" that what he was saying was exactly what I was experiencing. Didn't feel pushed into anything (such as surgery). Plan on returning after my vacation.

Excellent surgeon and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Horrible experience. Staff rude, Dr Sedgwick was dismissive and priority was getting paid NOT treating patients. Worst experience ever

Wendy who helps him is very rude, I was to have surgery that day early am, and they had called and canceled one and half hours before surgery, they never called back to reschedule or to help with knee pain, and the dr, over the years that I knew him long time, now he's not as polite or as caring as he once was and the rest of the staff, I get better treatment from livestock.

Just want to bring attention to the fact that the last review here for Dr. Sedgewick (one star) is an exact duplicate review of a review I just read for Dr. james C. Ballard - word for word! Not sure what's going on with this, but the fact the same exact & negative review has been posted for (at least) 2 Drs. reveals intentional slandering.

Dr. Sedgewick is 4-star at all levels. Surgery, knowledge, understanding, caring, thoughtful---the list is longer than the space here. I say this as a medical professional with 30 years experience (and experience with multiple surgeries), Thank you, Dr. Sedgewick.
