Dr. Terry Eugene Burris, MD

When I was referred to Dr Burris I had severe dry eye, Mebaonian Gland Disfunction and cornea scarring and could hardly read a newspaper from 4 inches away. Through a systematic program of treatment and surgical procedures Dr Burris restored my vision to near perfect condition.

I saw Dr. Burris for approximately 9-10 months and was going to receive the Lipoflow treatment but became ill and needed to re-schedule. When his staff called to reschedule, I was told I would be sent back to my regular eye Dr. because I had cancelled TWO appointments and that was their policy. I did not cancel two appointments, his office called me on the first one and cancelled it. I was told I needed to come in for a "regular" appointment (which I did) when I told his staff this, she said they had no record of this and I basically got push-back about it. When I called later to talk to the Dr. about the situation, another staff member was very familiar with the situation (she was the one that called me to cancel the first appointment which she mentioned), and said she would talk to the Dr. and get back to me. There was never any follow-up from the last staff member I spoke with or the Dr. and now I am looking to go to a new Dr. I have never been treated like this by any… Dr.'s office, and I never write reviews but felt others should know. In addition, I felt Dr. Burris, over time was very ambivalent about the treatment he developed and had difficulty answering some of my questions directly. Save yourself some time and see another Dr.

I feel Dr. Terry Burris is very knowledgeable and really wants to help his patients who are suffering from eye ailments. He is very direct and straightforward in his approach.

Office manager was extremely rude when trying to make an appt for a first visit. Would not recommend this office to a freind.

This ophthalmologist has a very well-deserved reputation for being extremely arrogant. Several patients waiting in his office complained that they were kept waiting for between 45 minutes and an hour, with never any sort of apology. However, should a patient be late for an appointment, service is refused, even when the waiting room is empty, which occurred to me today. It is my strong recommendation that this physician be avoided.

I found Dr. Burris to be rather rude and condescending. I don't appreciate being talked down to, as though I was a naughty child, especially when I am paying him! I don't care how good he may be at what he does, if he can't be courteous and compassionate, he may as well retire. I was excited at first to be given his brochure, as it has a scripture verse on it, and says he enjoys singing with his Worship team at church. I see no evidence of loving his fellow man. Sorry Dr. Burris!

Who cares about bedside manner when you're going blind? I care about an accurate diagnosis and treatment, and that is exactly what I got. I went to 4 other eye doctors before I found one that knew what was wrong. I understand why someone at top of their field does not have time for coddling....

This man has a terrible bedside manner! Not only did he talk down to me and snap at me, but I did not appreciate the way he spoke to his staff! I have decided to find another corneal specialist as it is not worth being treated badly to continue to go to him.
