Terrible experience

STOP! READ THIS! WARNING!?If you are searching for a skilled, competent surgeon, HEED MY WARNING! Do NOT LET TERRY DUBROW, MD near you! He will BOTCH the surgery. He performed a facelift, Rhinoplasty, and eyelifts, upper and lower. And because of his complete lack of skill, I now have complications so severe that it will require another surgery to reconstruct the damage that he's caused, estimated at $33,000. And that's just for my nose! And he informed me he no longer performs rhinoplasties! Yeah! There’s a reason for that! HEED MY WARNING! He’s not the charming, caring, concerned OC husband, do-good doctor you see on TV. Well, he is before he's paid in full his $30,000! During your consultation, he and his staff will make you feel as if you’re part of the family. They gain your trust. You feel like you've made the right decision. All that ends once you've had surgery! Post-surgery visit lasted all of ten minutes. Okay. Follow-up visits were quick. And when I tried to voice my… concerns, I was given the generic recommendation, “Give it time. A week, a month, a year.” Sure! Maybe that's true. But not with this doctor, not in my case, and not in the many other patients he’s ruined! Please research CA Orange County Courthouse docket. I trusted him! I followed all his recommendations! I had follow-up visits because the sutures in my eye kept coming loose - FOUR TIMES! And now, in his incompetency at its worst, I have been forced to seek consultations with another plastic surgeon who has informed me that my nasal cavity has completely collapsed on the right side blocking the airway and the left is partially collapsed. AGAIN! DUBROW NO LONGER DOES RHINOPLASTIES!!! He wants another $33,000 from me to have a different surgeon in his office fix it!! (THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GOING TO LET HIM DO SURGERY ON ME) And when I asked if he would be reimbursing me for a portion of the surgery, I was told that the $33,000 already included a 10% discount. 10%!!! Are you kidding me?! 10% is all he’ll reimburse me for a clearly BOTCHED surgery! He does NOT take responsibility for his surgeries gone wrong and shows zero concern for your wellbeing. Do not go to Terry Dubrow MD! I will be filing a complaint with the FTC.GOV and MBC.CA.GOV. If you are still considering him, please go to the above-mentioned sites and search for the filed complaints to read, and the two court cases filed by unsatisfied patients suing him, going on at this moment.

He is awful he botched a simple procedure removing a little bump on my nose. Please read the reviews and don’t ignore. He’s charming that doesn’t mean he knows what he’s doing! He should not be on botch!

“A fool and his money are soon parted” These are this man’s ethics and those of his Physician Assistant, Jacqueline Brambila, MS, PA-C. I was recommended to Dr. Terry Dubrow from a family friend of his “Botched TV show” with Dr. Paul Nassif. A Family member stated they had met these 2 Drs. and felt they were down to earth, ethical, and not out for “an easy extra few thousands of dollars.” I had consulted 2 other Plastic Surgeons after having a Botched Mastoplexy, with replacement of a ruptured breast implant. After initial surgery, I looked hideous. I had a nipple going sideways, misshapen both breasts and what felt like bubble wrap under my skin. Initial Surgeon kept telling me things would calm down and “if necessary a 2nd surgery.” I sought advice from a female Plastic Surgeon in my hometown who stated: 1-no Mastoplexy had been performed 2- there was significant asymmetry of both breasts 3- the nipple was definitely wrong. She suggested I contact Original surgeon to give me… 1/2 my money back, as having him do 2nd Surgery would probably not end in better results. I happened to be visiting the Orange County area, and with my families encouragement decided to call Dr. Terry Dubrow’s office. They were nice enough to squeeze me in for a consultation. My husband was with me. Dr. Terry Dubrow confirmed what Surgeon #2 had said. He asked me if I would be happy with 95% improvement -since 100% he never guarantees. My answer was, “of course.” My husband asked Dr. Terry Dubrow, what % would you give this Original surgical procedure? His answer, “this is not even 30%, it is a fail in my book.” We had not even considered a litigation situation at this time. We were shocked. As we left his office with brochure packet and cost of repairing my breasts, riding down the elevator as I was shared with my husband the additional $23,000 this was now going to cost us. He looked over and said we need to make you feel whole. This kind older lady leaned over and said, “That is my Son.” It was at this point, we decided to go with what we felt was the best. (original Surgeon claimed he was the BEST in the East Bay Region). By now, friends and family recommended we seek legal counsel, if nothing else, but to have Surgeon #1 pay for Surgery #2. I saw Dr. Terry Dubrow 3 times-1-Initial consult, 2-day of surgery and 3-1st post op visit. The rest of the year I was followed up with his Physician Assistant, Jacqueline Brambila who was always kind and attentive. Altho, when I questioned what was the material pouching out under the scar of right breast, she admitted it was part of the implant. She made no mention of discussing this with Dr. Terry Dubrow, or what her recommendation was. I decided to consult an attorney to pursue that Dr. B (who had performed the initial Surgery) would at least pay for this much needed “failed procedure, as per Dr.Terry Dubrow.” When it came time for Dr. Terry Dubrow to sign a declaration attesting to his statement, he refused. My attorney paid him $1,500.00 for 15 minutes just to discuss this situation, his response was that he only deals with his own litigation team. We were shocked beyond belief at Dr. Terry Dubrow’s response. I reached out to Dr. Terry Dubrow and his Physician Assistant, Jacqueline Brambila to try and understand how he could tell me and my husband what a botched job had been done to me, and yet not stand behind his statements. There was no explanation offered and no response whatsoever. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAMMER! He is only interested in the money he can scam from Women and their families who fall for his performance as a caring physician-NOT! I can’t believe even after the recommendation from family friends of his TV partner, Dr. Paul Nassif, he would still give us this type of treatment. Not even the courtesy of a response from Dr. Terry Dubrow or his PA, Jacqueline Brambila.

He’s personable and reassuring in person but his end result and staff are unbelievably terrible he BOTCHED my family member.

I had a consultation with Dr Dubrow on Nov 3, 2017 (At the urging of my mother). I had asked before the appointment if Dr Dubrow does independent medical reviews, as I needed one for my insurance company. I was told I would have to pay and ask in person. I paid $350.00, in addition to flight and taxi to get there and back home. When he came in he spoke about himself and his wife's show. Then used a q-tip to show me what needed to be done on my breast. I am in need of reconstruction surgery. So I asked about a report and he looked at his assistant as if I had asked for a handout. I stated that I would pay for the report, but that I need the report before the surgery. I left the office without a written consultation for fees or answer to the question about the report. I have emailed the office 2-3 times and have had no response back other than a replay email that someone would contact me. No one has to this day.
