Dr. Terry William Hood

I had brain tumor surgery from him quite a long time ago...I think it was 2001. He was very helpful in his discussions with both my wife and I. He performed excellent surgery (I met a man with the exact same surgery as me later that summer...he was in a wheelchair and could not feed himself). After surgery did he spend a lot of time with me....no, his specialty is surgery, not bedside stuff....that is for others, and I received excellent treatment from all of the staff at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Mn. Dr Hood paid attention to both of us during investigations, and MRI discussions. He ordered quite a few MRI's of different qualities in which to evaluate my brain tumor. I have nothing but the highest regard for his abilities!

I HAD A IME LAST WEEK AND I HAD ONE LAST YEAR AS WELL AND HE WAS VERY CONFIDENTIAL AND QUICK WITH RESPONSE TIME AS I WAS ABLE TO HAVE SURGERY A WEEK OR TWO AFTER THE APPOINTMENT .

He did an "independent medical report"on me.His report was inaccurate ,with statements that contradicted what I told him in the medical history.Others have had the same experience.His concern for the patient is secondary to financial gain.

I think this doctor should be band from practicing any kind of medicine. His title says it all, Neurological Surgeon, hah! More like he has neurological problems and they don't involve his patients....

I was sent to him by my employer to be evaluated regarding a work related issue. He was very rude and direct without ever actually examining me. Just looked through some papers that he had received and made a judgement based on someone else s work. He even took the time to write that part of my problem was from smoking. This was after I told him I don't smoke.

I was assigned Dr. Hood for an IME by a work comp adjuster. Nobody told me what I was in for. It was awful. First, they denied a close family member access into the room with us (which I have since realized was my mistake for allowing), made me sign an agreement saying I would not use any electronic recording device. Why? So you can't prove how incompetent, rude, and misleading his report is compared to the "exam"! He also asked questions in such a way that didn't allow me to describe the nature and cause of the injury...when I tried, he patronizingly scolded me. If I were to do it all again, I'd secure a lawyer before the IME and have my counsel work with the insurance adjuster to select an impartial IME Dr. I'd also insist on a witness who takes notes and/or a recording (which you apparently have to arrange for ahead of time). I would answer briefly, but insist that he allow me to provide pertinent details. Finally, I'd find out how much he gets paid per IME and what… percentage of the time he sides with the insurance company...all prior to the exam commencing. His office letterhead says "Integrity", but that couldn't farther from the truth. He's sold out to the insurance companies, and I hope he either changes his ways or is exposed for who he really is.

He did my surgery in 1987 at the University of Ann Arbor. To stop my sizeures. It worked and I haven't had one since. He has a very good bedside manner.

IME Dr Hood would sell his mothers soul for money. He spent around 10min in Total in the "room" with me, his phone range he walked out of the room and i overheard him joking about golf. when he got back in the room he said it was the hospital, another lie from a man who gets paid $5,000 to lie about people lives. Around 8mths later i had a c5-c7 Fusion front and back, By a Really DR with a heart for Humans. Avoid this so called Dr he Cares for NO one But Himself.

he did an IME on me. he was late, very rude, and twisted or completely falsified what I told him or what it said in my medical records dating back to 1998. when he "examined " me it was the least pressure used by any dr to check for strenhth and least to check for numbness. I have had 2 artificial discs in my back and 3 bad discs in my neck. I have been A tile setter since 1990 and have been in pain since 1997. this guy has no ethics no morals. he said that my injuries are 70% caused by smoking and 30% caused by my "boating" activities. I wonder where people like this go when they die?? writing a bunch of crap which could ruin my life for some money. How low can you get!

After spending 5 minutes of his time, Dr, Terry Hood has, in his so called 'independent' exam, decided that there is nothing wrong with me and that I received no injuries from my accident. Although, I can't sit or stand for any length of time and I am in constant pain. How much do you think the insurance company paid him for his 'independence'???
